For me personally I was a little out of my element. I did my best to use the website and follow details about the products online, but I still had issues. It wasn’t the easiest to get help in there. They were friendly. What I was looking for didn’t match the location online so I asked the girl at the register who was helping another customer and when she sent him to pick out a free item, I quickly asked her where I could find the item as she told me to hold on and then told me where the item was, which I could not find still. I’m a very handy crafty person, but my knowledge on tools is not great so when I picked up a tool, I asked a gentleman Who was not far from her who was standing arranging tags Or products and wasn’t helping anyone if the two Items I hadwere compatible. He said yes and he said no and then he ultimately told me what to get and I asked him about the location of what I was looking for and he sent me to an area nearby, but it still wasn’t there, but I felt brushed off because he said well I need to go back to helping this customer, but he clearly wasn’t when I walked up to him. I wouldn’t have even interrupted him if he was helping someone. This was a very stressful trip to the hardware store and I don’t think I’ll come back to this location again. If you’re going in a store with a very small knowledge of what you’re looking for please take someone that knows or ask for Andy or the other guy that was on the register next to him with the dark hair. He was amazing. He’s the reason I gave 3 stars at all. By the time I got up to the register, he was very nice and...
Read moreAs soon as I walked in I could see how professional this business is. The store windows were clean , the posters on the doors were bright and colorful, they had their "LABOR DAY "promotion going on. I picked up an unbelievable deal on a 64 PC socket set from the company called Pittsburgh. Good starter set for anyone tinkering on small engines, bikes or just starting on cars. I easily found the set that I was looking for from the ad on the internet and from asking an associate. The store was small and easy to locate my set. The signs in the aisle were bright and colorful and easy to read. When I was finishing checking out my associate Kriss was very friendly and helpful. He also took the extra time to explain how the warranty worked. Before I left I had to go to the bathroom and a good way to find out about a store is by how they keep their restroom. It was nice and clean.. Overall I would definitely shop here again. Prices were good , selection was decent, staff was friendly and marketing was great.. Thank you harbor freight, look forward to...
Read moreHarbor Freight is a gem if you do any sort of projects at all. Their tools can be hit or miss, but it's perfect to buying something you will only use once or twice. Some of their tools are actually amazing quality though, but it's tough to parse through them because HF has a lot of seemingly identical products that have different SKUs and are actually constructed from different places.
If you're interested in finding those gems, I highly recommend checking out Ave's YouTube channel (not my channel and I'm not being sponsored to say this) . He's an engineer who takes apart a lot of HF tools and analyzes their build quality and quality of components used. There's actually an impact gun HF sells that is apparently comparable to one's from e.g. Makita and Snap-on, but again, you have to be sure you're buying the proper SKU.
As far as this store in particular, it's always well staffed, they are friendly, and are typically...
