Title: A Flavorful Experience at 101 Bagels: A Mixed Bag of Service

Nestled in the heart of [Location], 101 Bagels promises a delightful culinary journey, blending traditional bagels with innovative twists. My recent visit showcased their unique offerings, notably the coffee ice cubes and the iced vanilla macchiato, alongside a diverse spectrum of service experiences.

Let's start with the stars of the show: the coffee ice cubes and the iced vanilla macchiato. The coffee ice cubes are a stroke of genius, ensuring that your drink never gets diluted, maintaining its robust flavor from the first sip to the last. Paired with the iced vanilla macchiato, it's a match made in beverage heaven. The creamy texture of the macchiato combined with the subtle sweetness of vanilla creates a symphony of flavors that dance on your palate with each sip. These elements truly elevate the coffee experience at 101 Bagels.

However, no culinary experience is complete without excellent service, and this is where the narrative takes a turn. While I received exceptional assistance from an African American young man—whose attentiveness and professionalism enhanced my visit—there were noticeable issues with certain staff members. One employee, Hannah, seemed to lack the warmth and enthusiasm characteristic of stellar service. Her demeanor was indifferent, and it felt as though she was simply going through the motions.

Moreover, I couldn't help but observe unsettling dynamics with another female employee, whose behavior hinted at underlying issues with racial bias. Her interactions were tinged with discomfort, and it was evident that she struggled with serving customers impartially.

In an establishment that prides itself on its culinary innovations, it's disheartening to encounter service inconsistencies that detract from the overall experience. While the coffee creations and flavorsome bagels undoubtedly steal the spotlight, the ambiance created by the staff plays an equally crucial role in shaping patrons' perceptions.

In conclusion, 101 Bagels offers a tantalizing array of culinary delights, including the ingenious coffee ice cubes and the irresistible iced vanilla macchiato. However, the charm of these offerings is somewhat overshadowed by service discrepancies, particularly evident in interactions with employees like Hannah and the unnamed staff member. With a concerted effort to address these issues and foster a more inclusive and welcoming environment, 101 Bagels has the potential to truly shine as a culinary gem in the heart...

New Years Eve, 2022. Bagels have become a yearly ritual for our family and next door neighbors. Each year, the mission is the same: Aquire a dozen and a half savory bagels to feed a group of hungry people also jamming holiday sweets and coffee down for brunch. Each year, the same location is selected...however...this year is different. A new bagel shop has appeared on the scene in Dunwoody, 101 Bagel Cafe. An executive decision is made to try the new place due to poor service experienced during the course of the year at the "other" bagel place we shall leave unnamed. Upon walking in, the warm humidity of a bagel boiling operation washes over us. We are greeted by a friendly staff, and some of the newest members of our business community. We immediately are offered a wide selection of bagels and cream cheese, hand written for the day on a scrap of paper. During slicing , I inspect the bagel boiling apparatus, various seasonings, and unboiled bagels ready to cook at a moments notice. This team is prepared for many to come after me this New Years Eve and in the new year in 2023. I also wander my way over to be what appears to be a public board and card game selection for visitors in no hurry to leave. This experience was 100% positive. Thank you for opening a location in Dunwoody. We wish you well and hopefully will see you again this year to try out some of the board...

Review of 101 Bagel

I have been a loyal customer of 101 Bagel for years, always enjoying their delicious bagels and friendly service. However, recently, I've noticed a decline in both the quality and the overall experience.

One of the most glaring issues is the staff. They seem increasingly distracted and disengaged, which has had a noticeable impact on service. This distraction results in longer wait times and a lack of the personal touch that used to make this place so special.

The bagel selection has also been disappointing. Last Sunday, I visited at 9:30 AM, expecting a full assortment of fresh bagels to choose from. Instead, there were only four options available. This is far from acceptable, especially at a time when everything should be fully stocked and ready for the day's customers.

It's disheartening to see 101 Bagel, a place I've loved and recommended for years, now being run with less care and attention. I hope the management can address these issues and restore the shop to its former glory. Until then, I might have to find my...

I think this place COULD be good. But they really need to train their employees to understand the products. I’ll start by saying my bagel itself was good. Which is crucial for their foundation. However my overall order wasn’t good. I specifically asked the girl at the front if their tuna was albacore/white. She went to the back to check. She came back and said yes it is. So I ordered the tuna sandwich on a bagel. The same girl the proceeded to go in the back and make my sandwich. I got home and discovered the tuna is clearly not albacore, it’s chunk light (brown tuna). In a bagel restaurant, this is a BIG deal. There is a big difference between the two. And honestly, that’s something the staff should know. But to me the bigger issue was employees shouldn’t confirm ingredient questions if they don’t have accurate information. As a patron I would be much more appreciative to be given the answer of “we don’t have that information” and allow me the option to pick something else, instead of buying something I won’t like.

Been here twice to give it a 2nd chance, but this place just doesn’t do it for me. A little confused how it’s so highly rated. We had a a bagel and smear, a couple bagel sandwiches, a fruit drink (berry cloud I think), and an iced matcha latte. My toasted rainbow bagel was just really tough. Difficult to chew or tear apart. Maybe I just expect bagels to be a touch softer especially when it’s toasted! I’ve had NY bagels, and they are not usually this tough. The sandwiches were meh, but honestly just kinda pricey for what it is. My everything bagel was frankly burnt. They toasted the bagel all of the seeds on top were charred to a crisp. My sandwich was supposed to come with avocado, but it didn’t and my request for no jalapeño wasn’t fulfilled. Drinks were alright. Didn’t love the berry cloud or the matcha latte. The mixed berry ice tea was tasty but too sweet for my preference. Overall, just not impressed and would rather go to Einstein’s.

I was really excited to have a bagel place open up so close to me. I gave them a try during their soft opening, and while I didn't get the tomato I ordered, the bagel was good and everyone was nice. Decided to give them another try today during their grand opening and I am beyond disappointed. There was an employee walking around passing out samples of cookies and blueberry muffins. They offered the samples to every single person in the store EXCEPT me. They walked straight past me without offering. I was the only non-white person in the store. I would have left right then and there but I had already ordered and paid for my food. When ordering, I asked for double cream cheese and lots of tomatoes, and I said I was willing to pay extra if necessary. Unfortunately, there was only a regular amount of cream cheese and the smallest piece of tomato I've ever seen. I will not be returning to this business.
