Extremely worst place I ever had job. Terrible restaurant owner management savage aggressive wild animals type behave towards me all the time with cursing dirty words. That's my experience when I worked at this Indian Restaurant. They discriminated a lot if they know someone came from different countries or place started to yelling. One of the fat dude, he prefers to tell himself owner and chef he is horrible, savage person ever met that person never be polite when I was working there. I cannot explain more than this all how bad they were. These are the people don’t have empathy and how to behave their employees. At that time, I used to drink alcohol because I was so exhausted, my feet were hurt badly I got body pains too. So I drank alcohol for killing my pain. One day they gave me 95 percentage alcohol. If I did drink that straight, I wouldn't have survive. Think about their intention. Every day so much dramas were created by owners. Seven days straight 10 hours work with little wage, no over time no insurance. I was so nervous, disappointed from their terrible attitudes towards me. They are still claiming themselves as finest restaurant in GA but they are not. I wonder how they’re treating others employees from different countries race, color and how many people victimized from this terrible management. I experience this is not only place mistreated like that i saw most of this toilet-less country’s people operated restaurant management treated cruelly especially Nepalese people who cannot speak up or raising their voice cruelly being victimized. So disgusting place I ever worked. I am working class lower level wage getting person but I never get rid of this terrible place in my memory. This is pretty creepy place and full of hate's Am very tired with this toilet less country’s people terrible if you have any conscious mind stop going over there. And I researched other these people operated restaurants, especially their attitudes like wild animal, aggression, savage behavior. Felt these people are still not really came out of ancient Stone Age. No American culture no respect, dirtiest place. I don’t think they will get clean and hygiene place even someone send them and graduate from one of the world prestigious...
Read moreDisappointing, embarassing, discriminating place. I have been going to this restaurant for the last 2 years for buffets at lunch both during the weekdays and weekends with my wife. We both enjoyed the food and being there. Yesterday, the front manager of the restaurant really embarrassed me in front of other people by coming and saying "I was dressed in a tanktop and it is not allowed. Other people are complaining". I was surprised to hear this comment since neither the website nor the restaurant says anything about the dress code. Tanktops and shorts are perfectly fine dress code in other restaurants including Indian and Asian restaurants. So, what makes this restaurant anything different?
I was extremely embarrassed and guilty about coming to such a restaurant where I so much enjoy the food. I felt I was treated like dirt and discriminated against an unwritten policy. Sure to say, I won't be able to coming to this restaurant anymore. They have lost me as a customer forever.
UPDATE: Since the initial experience, I tried going back to this restaurant twice to see if things changed. On both occassions, the owner had the audacity to ask me to correct my review thus making me uncomfortable. May be he should think about demonstrating improvement in how he treats his customers, convince me he has indeed change and I can correct my review. Until then, both of the subsequent visits just confirmed my initial review of the place and this person. I would personally discourage people from going to this restaurant. You can find much better Indian restaurants now...
Read moreTable for 3 for lunch I was meeting a couple of friends for lunch. As I approached, there was plenty of shared parking. ViceRoy was located in an open area with many other shops and restaurants. One friend and I entered together, were greeted and seated immediately with no reservation. We were waiting for the 3rd member of our party to join, but we got started on the buffet. As we were up and about, the server brought over our water glasses. It was lunch time, but the place was almost empty. Looking around the restaurant, I noticed it was spotless and designed with a minimalistic style. I surveyed the buffet and noticed many of the usual favorites; Butter Chicken, Tandoori Chicken and Chicken Biryani. Our other friend arrived shortly after and jumped right in line for the buffet. I went back for 2+ full entree plates and 1 dessert plate. We discussed the food and commented that it was OK. Nothing jumped out at me that was super tasty or made me do the happy food dance. Also, by the time I got the food back to the table, it was not super hot. I don’t know if it was because I was talking while eating, but it did not seem super hot. The team of servers were very attentive, but not very friendly. They efficiently and quickly came to clean up old buffet plates and bring out the Naan, but there were not a lot of smiles tossed around. Overall, a good experience with GOOD, not Great Indian cuisine with a super clean dinner room and...
