Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in East Lampeter Township

Was in the area and in the mood for a burger. Never been to a Freddys but have seen them so figured we’d try it out.

Walked in and there were only a couple open tables. A couple people in line in front of us. Line moved quickly, and the food didn’t take long at all. The cashier was friendly.

We got the last table. One thing that stood out was that a couple of the tables were occupied by workers. I’m sure they were done for the day or on break, but being busy I thought it was strange that they were taking up a couple tables.

The burgers were ok, but I didn’t know they were smash those burgers. They were so paper thin that even a double you couldn’t taste any meat. Not that they were bad, just didn’t hit the spot for a burger. I did enjoy the fries. Got some custard when we were done and thought that was good.

I probably would never go back for a burger. But like I said, those see through thin burgers aren’t my thing. I was kind of in the mood for a greasy fast food burger and this wasn’t that at all.

I would however go back if I wanted some custard. I like it better than ice cream, so it’s nice to know they have good custard...

Horrible customer service. Went for some late night icecream about an hour before closing time. No one greeted us upon entering. The young woman who took our order, caleana was very rude. We had questions about the menu she did not answer. She acted like we were an annoyance with the questions we had. With this being our first time we were just curious about sizes, servings, etc clearly that was an issue for her. I ordered a small half and half custard with sprinkles and I was given a chocolate milkshake with sprinkles instead. I also ordered the turtle sundae and all of the toppings were on the bottom of the cup. The outside of the cup was also covered in melted custard. So clearly, her attitude clouded her ability to pay attention.

Way too over staffed yet it still took several minutes for us to get our order. Caleana, the same young woman who took our order was making orders and touching everything with the same gloves she used to empty trash cans and touch garbage.

Overall the atmosphere felt very unwelcoming and like our presence was a bother. I will...

Was driving past and heard about a new franchise coming into town. Family wanted some ice cream and we stopped in for Sunday. Not quite sure what was wrong but a quick trip through the drive-thru turned into 20 minutes. They certainly don't have their systems down. When we receive the ice cream a lot of it was already melted. The Sunday was fine but it was nothing spectacular. Maybe if it wasn't melted it would have been better. We had a turtle sundae. The toppings and the amount of the toppings we're very good.

It certainly wasn't a deal at $6 for a sunday. If you just looking for ice cream probably better off going to dairy Queen. You get more for less in my opinion and it was just as good.
