I will not be eating there again. My family ate several times at Cicis in York, PA and had good experiences, until they closed. This one not so much. First lets start with the current running add for a buffet at 5 dollars and change. A lot of change, $6.49 per person. That's quite a bit more than $5, but willing to blame that on independently owned and national advertising and let it slide. Just for the record two adults with drinks, $17.98. After paying we had to ask for the drink cups we just paid for. I expect at least a basic level of competence from my servers but she was young and probably her first job. We grab our napkins out of the dispenser and headed towards the food. Salad bar looks o.k., but not what I came to eat. Pasta/soup totally unimpressive, one chicken somethingorother soup. One noodle, red sauce, and white sauce. Again not what I'm here for. Now to the pizza. First time through the selection was disappointing at best. Did you know they have 3 stuffed crusts now! oh wait, that's one at a time...maybe. The selection was limited compared to previous experience, (at other locations), but I did manage to fill my plate. Filled our drinks and went looking for a seat. I would call it steady not busy, seating at about half capacity with a steady in and out flow. Not a single table was clean. At that time I saw not one employee cleaning the dining area. Finding what we thought of as a not too dirty table we began to eat or meal. More pizza selections were put on the buffet and everything seemed to be well. During our entire visit I witnessed 2 different employees come out to wipe tables. The 1st did 2, the 2nd did 3. Did not make much of a dent in the number of dirty tables. Employees were taking their brakes in the dining area. Yes in the dining area while in uniform and on duty. Not the way it's done but maybe I'm just old school. Ever spill a drink and need to clean it up yourself while out to eat? I did just that today. Luckily I spotted dish rag under the soda machine...oh and those two employees that just walked by...totally ignored it and gave me the not my job I'm on brake look but I held my tongue. In summary, dirty tables, overcharged (vs. tv add), unmotivated employees, and mediocre pizza. I'm disappointed with the whole experience and will not...
Read moreI live 45 minutes west in Harrisburg and over here we have Infinitos. Ive always wanted to go to Cicis and im always like, why cant we have a Cicis in Harrisburg but its in Lancaster???? But anyway on January 11th 2021 after all of my life i finally got to go to cicis for the very first time! The buffet price was ok food and drink was about 10$ with tax. COVID-19 precautions took place, which they give you your own spacula to serve yourself. The first thing i got to try is the alreado pasta. The sauce had little flavor and watery but it was still ok. Ive always wanted to try the mac and cheese pizza and thats what i got next. The sauce was very intresting as it doesnt taste a lot like mac and cheese, it tasted more like a grilled cheese sandwich but it was delicious. Cicis is one of those places that is not ceasar dressing friendly. When i went to the salad bar and i asked for ceasar dressing, and they said theh dknt carry it. Now i know next time i go to Cicis i have to bring ceasar dressing from home. So it ended up eating my salad plain but the soup tased good and the other pizzas and deserts are delicious.
In my opinion overall, if i have to choose between Infinitos VS Cicis, im going to give it to Infinitos. But i do give Cicis credit for having things that Infinitos doesnt have, like the soups and mac and cheese pizza and brownies. I definitly will go back to Cicis the next time i visit Lancaster hopefully at the end of the month, the food was overall great and the service is very good. In reality, Lancaster, Pa has Cicis and Harrisburg, PA has Infinitos. To be fair im giving Cicis four out...
Read moreThis restaurant is an all you can eat Buffet consisting of salad, soup, breadsticks, pasta, pizza and dessert. It is not very fancy, but it is very economical if you have a lot of small children. It is hard these days to go out traveling with your children and find food for them to eat that they will enjoy. While pizza isn’t the most healthiest food, everything is fine in moderation after all. 😊. We have eaten here before, and came back specifically because we have two picky eater children. Everyone was able to get a little some thing of what they wanted which makes it a much more pleasant eating experience! They had lots of salad dressing choices for the salad, and some good toppings including what looks to be homemade croutons. The soup was a little on the plain side, but I’m sure once again that is so a child might not find it so spicy. I just use some red pepper flakes to give mine a little zip. The pizza I had was nice and fresh, and the chef bringing out the pizza even asked if I was looking for something special. He stated he would make something if I didn’t see it out. They rotated what they had very quickly. There wasn’t anything sitting out for a long time. The desserts were either a little cinnamon buns or dessert pizza which was either apple topped or cheese topped as in like a cheese danish. Drinks or a separate price but you can go and refill your cup as many times as you’d like. This is a good place to go for big families who are on a budget and don’t want to break...
