Georgio's Pizza — Restaurant in East Lansing

I remember having this pizza a long time ago. And I loved their rice pudding. I was in the area the other day and I decided to pop in. I got the pizza slice, breadstick, and pop combo with rice pudding on the side.

Extremely disappointed. The breadatick was a large dry crust of bread with hard cheese on top. Pizza was OK, nothing to remember but the thing I was looking forward to the most was the rice pudding. I couldn't even wait to get home. I took the lid off and had a big bite...

The rice was still hard and severely undercooked. The "pudding" was so runny it nearly spilled. It was awful.

I decoded to scoop from the bottom to see if maybe it just needed to be stirred in (I knew better but I wanted so much for it to be like I remembered)

Before I took my bite I noticed a huge black curly hair in it! (Pictures included)

I am beyond disgusted. I threw the rest of my food away.

I will never visit again.

Customer service was OK, they acted like it was an inconvenience to be there. But as someone who works in food service, I get it. Some days are hard.

Still I had to remind them of my pop, and my rice pudding, even though I bought it all only moments before.

Sometimes when my experience is not good, I'll try again on a different day. I will never come...

This is my favorite pizza place whenever I'm in East Lansing and the best kept secret in town. Pizza by the slice or whole pies as you like them.

Ever wonder what a "Chicken Tortellini" pizza tastes like? They've made it and it's wonderful. Other flavors include but are not limited to:

Pepperoni Sausage Pepperoni and sausage Meat Pie Potato and Onion Chicken Chicken and Bacon Tomato Pesto Black Bean Nacho pizza even Gyro pizza! (I could go on...)

I always get the Gyro pizza and whatever else seems to catch my eye. The crust is a New York style which is not the Detroit Style of the more local shops but it lends itself well to "by the slice" eating.

They always offer seasonings: garlic, red pepper flakes, italian seasongs, salt, and pepper. I of course put it all on. You can ask for sour cream or ranch dressing from the counter. The sour cream goes well with the nacho and potato pizzas. Ranch dressing can go on everything because it's Michigan ;-)

Disappointed. Ordered two pizzas and 3 breadsticks (they don’t have an “order” of breadsticks, you have to get them individually) for pick up, they say it will be ready in 25 minutes. I get there and the lady brings two pizza boxes to the counter and says “I’m out of breadsticks right now, would you like to wait for them?” I asked how long... “at least 25 minutes.” Oh, you mean how long it was supposed to take when I ORDERED BREADSTICKS half an hour ago!? So either they didn’t make breadsticks when I ordered them, or they did and served them to other customers. No explanation or apology. Forgivable if the pizza hadn’t been so underwhelming.
