This evening I had an opportunity to visit this location which, I am highly familiar with the family history of this black owned business being that I, myself am a Georgia native. However, the poor customer service that was demonstrated this evening was horrific! The two females at the front counter displayed a very distasteful, and unpleasant attitude! It was very unprofessional, but unappealing to any customer.
The cashier in particular with the purple hair was blatantly rude! I asked her if my food was ready, and her response was “we haven’t called anything and if you don’t have a number, you can’t get anything” But, later after me complaining to the hardworking gentleman that I had been waiting for quite some time for 6 piece whiting nuggets, they immediately discovered that my food was ready and had been sitting under the heating light for quite sometime. But, it was her lackadaisicalness shown and unconcern in my need as the customer. From her disposition, mannerisms, service and responses clearly expressed unconcern to the customer need, but more than anything an unconcern for the interest and respect for her employer. Regardless if the business product offers satisfaction, but in order to keep consistent revenue and relevance; service should always be a first priority.Good customer service is priceless but a pivotal part in securing guaranteed income. A customer spends their dollar and conducts business based on their experience. A customer experience should always be inviting, welcoming and attentive to the customer. Not uncomfortable! My experience alone made me very uncomfortable and disgusted with my food choice this evening where I couldn’t even enjoy my purchased meal. Before expanding to their new location, ownership needs to rehire and retrain their employees. The servicing does not compensate for the increased food prices nor does it equate to quality. This definitely was one of the worst experiences by far! When did bad service become rewarding and satisfactory?? What happened to culture and reputation? By far the worst...
Read moreUpdate for my review. The new location is beautiful and would be great for events. However, since my last review I believe the food and customer service has taken a hit. The food looks and smells amazing, but it's not a flavorful as before and thenportion sizes are smaller. The customer service is where I was disappointed the most. With it being a new location and us visiting it for the 1st time, the cashier seemed annoyed with our questions and requests for assistance. We had purchased multiple drinks, and I asked for a cup holder, she stated they were by the drinks. They were difficult to spot behind the dispensers. I would recommend a sign or a better location for this. The lids she gave us wouldn't fit and I asked for new lids which also didn't fit. She then proceeded to place lids on a different customer's cup, which did fit. When I told her ours still didn't work, she responded with an attitude stating they were the same lids making it seem like we were a nuisance but never tried to help us with the situation and kept looking at us like we were crazy. The way she spoke to us just felt rude, especially how she was talking my mom who's a senior citizen.
The customer kindly showed us her cup/lid which was different than our lid. I then tried to show the cashier the correct lid and another employee then stepped in to help. Bless him. The cashier never apologized for her mistake when all we were trying to do was find a way to carry our multiple drinks 1hr away without spilling them. My mom was excited to show me the new place and I know it's a minor thing, but every detail matters and we drove far to support. Her attitude/response to us and particularly my mom was disheartening. I hope it gets better...
Read moreOkay food and pretty pricey. The ribs could be less tough but that is to be expected when it sits buffet style and has to be reheated. Shrimp is cooked when ordered. Banana pudding was all cookie, it was like eating a cake with banana cream as the frosting. The functionality of the restaurant is pretty confusing, no direction when walking in the door. You have to go to the far right to get to the line, you're not sure if this is a seat yourself restaurant or if you have a waiter. If you have never been you would be some what lost from entering to seating yourself. Couldn't figure out when you get your drinks, found out the waiter's bring them when your food is delivered. The cashier doesn't direct you after you pay if you are eating in, put a number on my tray then went to assist the next client. I guess he assumed we've eaten there before. I think the waiter concept is a bit much for this place, but they were the best at making you feel welcomed. Couldn't read the menu on the TVs because they flashed to pictures a little too fast. The menu should be motionless so people can figure out what their options are. Wasn't sure how many sides you can choose for the plate options on the menu, asked the lady at the Start point and she was not very helpful, you better know what you want before you get to her. Doesn't help a person who has never been to this place. Love supporting black owned businesses but this one makes you not want to come back because your first visit makes you uncomfortable. If they want to change the dining experience, they would need to do better in directing the dine in customers for them to have a better dining...
