Here's the review:
Update After getting a call from Randy and talking things out, he made adjustments, and we came back for a do over.
The food was just as good as last time, and the service was outstanding.
Randy takes pride in his business and the feedback we leave in our reviews.
The lead chef came to viait us as well and made sure everything was perfect.
If you wanna see what we had this time, check out the newest photos. You'll have to give this place a try if you want a good brunch spot, scratch kitchen style.
I recommend the fried grits if you're in the mood to a modern take on the old bowl of grits. These fried balls of grits are prepared with cream cheese and a nice house spice blend. I had mine with eggs Benedict. I substituted the ham for smoked salmon and had the buttermilk biscuits minis.
The chicken and waffles with the hot honey were amazing with tones of flavor and a good crispy crunchy batter.
Our little one enjoyed scrambled eggs and potatoes, which were amazingly crispy and soft. She also had a side of fruit.
If you like your sweet tea a but more well balanced and not over sweet, they've got that covered as well.
All-in-all, this was a much better experience , being able to finish our meal, and get the same amazing service we had last time.
All the best on this pilot.
Until Next time
Previous Review I am extremely torn writing this review, and here's why.
Firstly, I am writing this just after taking allegy meds and waiting for it to kick in.
Coming into this place, the experience was stellar. I remembered to take photos because I really wanted to leave a 5 🌟 review. As you can see from the pictures, the food looks amazing. The timing from order to served is perfect, and the flavors are so well balanced. I can tell that the food is made with lots of love and soul.
So, why the 1 star 🌟? Welp, we told our waitress our food allergies, and it looked like she entered it on the ticket. She also double-checked by asking the kitchen about certain food items I ordered to make sure we didn't run into any trouble. However, what we were not informed of is that the eggs Benedict we ordered came on a cheddar biscuit that had the very item we are allergic to in it.
I wondered why I wasn't feeling so swell and began searching through my food for the item and found it clear as day. Suddenly, everyone knew that ingredient was on my plate after I've consumed it and began feeling ill.
I didn't see our waitress, so I went to the host desk and asked for our waitress and explained i was having an allergic reaction and needed to pay so we could leave. Several minutes passed, and she didn't come, which made me have to ask for management.
He was very kind and polite and super helpful and told us to let him know if there was anything we needed from them. We attempted to pay for our food, and they refused to accept payment since we had the allergy issue.
So, you see, I'm extremely torn. I wanted this to be a 5 🌟 review, and everything was perfect accept the rest of my day was ruined because we had to leave, go home, and take allergy meds.
I'm hoping we get another chance to visit this place and have a better experience 🙏 😔
Until next...
Read moreCame on a Sunday around noon with a party of 8, 4 adults, 4 kids. Got seated right away, which was great. Atmosphere was nice and the menu looked great. Those are where the positives end.
Placed our order pretty quickly and then waited 40 minutes with no update or check in from our waitress. We asked for an update on the status of our food, understanding that an 8 top does take some time. Our request was met with a very apathetic “I’ll check.”
10 minutes later, we still had no update, so spoke with the manager. He blamed the kitchen staff, apologized for not keeping us updated, and said he would check on the food. Another ten minutes goes by and he says that the food is being brought down to be plated and should be out soon. We informed him that we were now on a tight schedule (having been here for an hour and 10 minutes at this point) and would be happy to pay for our drinks and forget the food if it was not able to be to us in the next ten minutes.
Food did start coming out a couple plates at a time about ten minutes later. 4 out of the 8 plates were kids meals. All told we did not receive our final plate of food until 25 minutes after our last conversation with the manager.
About 50% of our food was cold and you could tell it had sat. Manager did not come back to check on us and I had to seek him out to inform him of the further delay, after he had said it wouldn’t be that long.
After some discussion with him in which he further blamed the kitchen staff, new hirings and made excuses for the busyness, he begrudgingly discounted a portion of our bill behind closed doors, and did not show his face again. The waitress was actually the one that told us about the compensation, he was nowhere to be seen.
Additionally, while the restaurant was steady, there did not seem to be a long wait and several parties did come in after us, ate and left before we had food. It is understandable that delays happen and mistakes are also sometimes made, but the lack of communication, ownership, and disrespect of our time was incredibly frustrating. I could see where this would be a wonderful place for a meal, but the service and management failed to live up to that potential during our visit.

Read moreI'm no food critic but I just wanna lay it all out cause this place was great and I usually don't leave reviews
Beginning My lady and I had some time away from the kiddos and decided we wanted a breakfast date, and landed on twisted biscuit. Walking up, the atmosphere said classy casual relaxed, quirky in a few areas too. Our server, Demiah, was super friendly! Anything we had questions about she had answers for and was good conversation. The service/space ratio was great, none of the unnecessary questions while you're mid bite, but drink/napkin checks regularly.
Drinks/biscuits My spicy bloody Mary was pretty good, I wouldn't say it was the absolute best I've ever had, but It was well worth. Now the biscuits... man these biscuits were awesome! And the honey butter that comes with em was almost glittering with honey and cinnamon, I mean the stuff was great. I had to get an order to go at the end.
Food The food came out super quick, probably about 10/15 minutes from the time we ordered. Granted the place wasn't packed, but still, talk about great timing! I had the gravy train biscuits n gravy and my lady had the Italian job Benedict, and both were absolutely amazing. I can't say I've had breakfast this good since grandma used to go all out, but this is something different. It's like the combination of finer things you put together in your head while daydreaming about a good breakfast plate. The potatoes, as soon as one went in I realized they were seasoned kind of like a red hot triplet without the spicy, so it was like the midwest smokey sweet tangy bbq and they were Crispy in all the right ways. The bacon was right after the chewy point, but not into the crunchy point, right where you get that in between "snap" when you bite, and some body to the chew, not the rubbery but the med/well we all look for. Also, the eggs were pretty perfect too, I ordered medium and I've been surprised with how many breakfast chefs can't cook a fried egg but these guys nailed it. My lady's egg was poached and it came out great
I'll be bringing friends and family here as a...
