UPDATE: Years have passed since my original review, and unfortunately, the core issues remain unchanged at the Egg Harbor Township location. The coffee is still consistently bitter, and every cup still has grounds at the bottom.

The store has undergone a remodel, but rather than improving the experience, the new layout feels awkward and uncomfortable. It no longer feels like a welcoming place to sit and stay.

During the remodel, I learned that staff were temporarily sent to other stores. Multiple employees from neighboring locations have shared that the EHT store remains unusually inconsistent because of the volume they deal with. Staff have reportedly been trained to pour espresso shots even if they’re under-extracted. This leads to the bitter taste and leftover grounds that customers like myself continue to experience.

I’ve attempted to escalate the issue by speaking with the district manager, but no meaningful changes have been made. It is disappointing that quality seems to take a back seat to speed here, especially given the price of Starbucks products and the brand’s emphasis on consistency.

As a result, I now drive 15 minutes out of my way to Somers Point or Galloway, where the coffee tastes right every single time. Perhaps Starbucks should consider placing a strong manager from one of these consistent locations at EHT to reestablish standards. High-volume service should not mean low-quality drinks.

Customers should not have to compromise on quality or travel farther to get the Starbucks experience they know and love. Original Post: Coffee never tastes right! When every other store in the area makes my drink it tastes identical. This store the coffee tastes burnt and bold even when I get the Blonde Espresso. There is always a bunch of grounds at the bottom of the cup. You say its not right they are adamant it is. So I have to leave the store just to go to another to get my...

Seems to be a bit disorganized, not always the cleanest. Have had problems with the orders not being accurate.

Just downgraded from a 3 to a 1. This place is a complete disaster, shows a lack of any management involvement. Walked in for a mobile order pickup, was told is was not ready but no one really checked. So while I was waiting I am watching a mess being made by over pouring if drinks, adding too my ice or way too much toping, all of which causes the drinks to overflow when the lid is put on. And with the new lids I was appalled that the server presses it down with her bare hand, her palm right over the portion you sip from. Meanwhile 10 minutes lateri have not received my pickup. It has been sitting there, just no one understands that when one is at the mobile order counter it might be a good idea to ask them if they have been helped. I noticed the bag within a minute of walking in, too bad they did not bother to call...

Absolutely disgraceful experience today at the EHT Starbucks. I ordered a Chocolate Cream Cold Brew — a drink that, by name alone, should come topped with its signature chocolate cold foam. What I received was a bland, murky mess that tasted like it had been made by someone who’s never even read the menu. Not a single trace of foam. None. Zero. Zilch. Just a cup of over-creamed disappointment.

And to top it off — I explicitly did not ask for creamer, yet the drink came swimming in it. Did they misread the order? Ignore it? Or are they just randomly dumping dairy into drinks now like it’s some kind of free-for-all?

This isn’t just a “bad day” for the barista — it’s complete negligence in drink quality. Starbucks is supposed to be consistent, but this location clearly didn’t get the memo. If I wanted cold brew with milk, I could’ve made it at home for a fraction of the price — and at least I’d get the order...

Nice location and friendly staff but I find it so rude that I get handed an electronic device with a screen to choose the amount of tips to give for ordering a cup of coffee from the drive through. Give me a break! I don’t mind paying tips for any service I receive at a restaurant but for a drive through order!!!! I know this tipping thing is the norm across all Starbucks locations but it’s a dumb idea. Tipping is justified and rightfully so at a restaurant, diner, barbershop, massage parlor, hotel house keeping, etc. Places where you’re actually receiving a service. Not for pouring some hot water in a cup which is why they’re hired and getting paid to do in the first place!

They spelled my name wrong, the food is frozen cold even after it was "toasted", and they messed up the coffee order. The tall white dude in charge of the heating up process also likes to throw the food when calling it out for some reason. The Starbucks in Vineland, a "poor" county does better work than this one that's supposed to be in a "rich" neighborhood 😒😒😒 The only good things about this place are Bri and the nice guy who handed me the brown sugar. Never coming back here again.
