Taquizas Grill — Restaurant in El Paso

We got lunch catered on campus for our educators from this taquiza. One thing I can tell you is to stay away from this taco man and his business. They were short 9 plates. There were 75 plates that were ordered and paid for. Only 66 plates were delivered and 3 of the 66 plates had no potatoes. When the issues were brought up to the owner, Mr. Porras, he was rude, disrespectful, and accused the educators of having multiple tickets to over serve themselves and that we were lying. He stated that the tickets WE issued to assure the educators ate should have been turned into the cook to prove that they were short plates. He wanted us to prove, that they didn't have the 75 plates. The principal is that we paid and some educators didn't eat. If you hire this guy, make sure to count the potatoes beforehand to get what you paid for. Unfortunately, he was recommended but I surely don't recommend an establishment that lacks customer service and questions the integrity of more than 1 individual involved, except his own. I'm a firm believer in supporting small, local business but I assure you, you can find better service with many other Taqueros in El Paso. He couldn't even get his story in line with his worker Johnathan, turning the blame on the worker, then on the educators and finally on our method of controlled plate and tickets...

WORST SERVICE IVE EVER HAD. Booked them for catering and 30min after the time they were supposed to show up we called the owner to ask if they were still coming & he tells us that he forgot because we didn’t send a message to remind him. What??? 😃 I didn’t know it was our responsibility to remind you after you collected a deposit. He tells us he can send one of his workers later but he can only serve for 1 hour because he has another event to be at. Mind you we were originally told it was supposed to be for 2 hours. We said fine because we had no other choice and they were already 2 hours late to our event. The worker showed thankfully but we were told that any leftover food would be ours but the guy left the meat and took the sides with him 🙃 we weren’t given an apology or anything and were still charged full price. The tacos from Taquizas Grill were a huge hit for our backyard birthday party. They were on-time, set up was quick, and they didn’t need much room. The cook was friendly but focused on his work, and before you knew it our back yard was filled with the mouthwatering smell of sirloin and tacos al pastor. A long line formed but it moved quickly.
