Richmond Bar & Grill — Restaurant in El Segundo

Very, very, very disappointed to say the least. I had such a bad experience that I want people to know: I am a local resident and have been living in El Segundo for many years even if I still have an accent since I was born abroad; in this particular venue was my first time. I don't know if it was intentional or not, but the waitress overcharged us on the bill and the tip as well; we were a party of 4 people and at the very end a friend joined us bringing the total to 5; the waitress, after receiving a partial payment and a tip as well from one person of the party that was leaving early, gave us a bill with a “mandatory 20% tip”(Menu states a service charge of 18% on parties over 6). When questioned, the waitress herself said that the gratuity was mandatory. She and the owner became hostile and aggressive when we asked them to fix the bill (we were less than 6 anyway for the mandatory gratuity, and a partial tip was already given) , otherwise we would have to call the police. They fixed the bill, but in a very hostile and angry way such that it almost generated a brawl there because some other local (friends) customers were starting to call the women at our table names. They were rude and unkind and no apologies were given, even after recognizing their mistake. If you add an illegal gratuity to a party of 4 for overpriced beers (they charged $ 27 + tax for each pitcher of local beer) and then only TAKE CASH demonstrates what a crummy place it is. I am never ever going to this place again and will repeat this story to all of my friends so others will know...

First time dining in here was okay food atmosphere cleanliness service etcetera to maintain as normal. For menu pricing during Happy Hour to keep all menu items under $20.00 per menu item and before/thereafter depending on but not to exceed $30.00 per menu item. Stated this and not just here and have been correct in doing so. Some to say Areas States Locations(Regions) vary slightly some. Tip is standard 15 percent and then thereafter decided by the customer. Sometimes gratuity is included automatically and still then thereafter can be what was stated in the sentence before this one. This also includes discounts and coupons when or as applied. For those businesses that do not have websites and or email addresses then review sections are read instead. From previously and up until currently as certain to say things have changed and been adjusted but it doesn't affect except if done purposely so am aware already which is still looking good for okay with me. Won't say anything more from this point unless have reasons for doing so at this time most of all businesses 99 percent of have taken care of only...

We've been looking forward to having lunch here ever since they announced the car show in downtown El Segundo. Today was the day. My wife really likes the chips as they are made in house. Unfortunately, today was the wrong day to return. Because of the show, they were very busy. I think they may have been short staffed as well. For example, the bartender was pouring drinks and delivering them. Two servers were covering the front patio, the main bar area and the back patio. But, overall service time was okay however the quality and temperature of the food was poor. As said, my wife really likes the chips, she said they were just okay today. Her burger 🍔 was cold and missing the tomato and pickles. My fries were piping hot and salted perfectly but my burger was just lukewarm. Seemed like the crowds overwhelmed the kitchen today. We decided not to say anything but I overheard a guy next to me tell one of the servers that his meal was cold. So, we were not the only one. My suggestion? Don't go on very busy days. Hope your experience is better than ours...
