Toast Thai Cafe — Restaurant in El Segundo

We had just left our hotel from downtown and were heading to our Air B&B but needed some brunch. This place has great reviews and was located pretty close to where we were staying so we decided to try it out. There was no wait for a table, the two ladies working were very friendly and moved as quickly as they could. We ordered the Avocado Toast with 2 eggs and the Chicken and Croffle. My wife really really liked the Avocado Toast, one egg was overcooked but nothing devastating. The only complaint was the plate was so small there wasn't room to cut and eat without casualties falling into the table. I ordered the Chicken and Croffle. Appearance wise, I was a little underwhelmed comparing it to the menu picture. It was pretty tasty, not as good as I had hoped. My wife also ordered a Matcha to drink but she did not like it all. I had a breakfast plate with eggs, toast, bacon, and potatoes with a side order of truffle fries. The food was great. I also ordered an iced latte. It was good. There's ample parking in the plaza. It's a nice quiet street with plenty of street parking as well. I went around 10AM on Sunday, and there wasn't a lot of foot traffic in the area. The order experience was great. They have menus outside of the establishment. When you walk in, there's a giant tablet for you to order. There's printed menus on the side as well. I saw some folks sit down and had their orders taken by the server. I was able to get some work done on my laptop. Toast Cafe never disappoints! I tried the BBQ Honey Pork over Rice and the Hainanese Chicken over Rice, and both were absolute standouts.

The BBQ Honey Pork was tender with a perfect balance of sweet and savory, and the sauce was so good I found myself scooping every last bit with the rice. The Hainanese Chicken was equally impressive — juicy, flavorful, and paired beautifully with the fragrant rice and that amazing ginger-chili sauce.

The Salmon Benedict was perfection — fresh, buttery salmon, perfectly poached eggs, and a silky hollandaise that tied it all together. A must-try!
