Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Elk Grove Township

This was my 1st visit to this location but in the past, I have not had the best experience at other Jersey Mike's. At a different suburban location, was told there "wasn't enough bread". Another time, was double charged and was given a buy one get one free coupon in lue of a refund of the 2 sandwiches I paid for but didn't receive. Plus every one I visited needed a good cleaning. We decided try again because of time limitations and this was the easiest restaurant to visit under our situation. This visit changed my attitude about JM's. I first noticed how clean it was. Every table spotless and ready to use and the counters were immaculate. The service was excellent! The young man who made our sandwich was personable, friendly and most importantly, my man can make a sandwich. He used the perfect amount of 'juice' without making it soggy. My picky wife loved every bite of hers and my elderly mom, who rarely eats, ate half of my giant sub. We liked it so much, we grabbed 2 more subs to take back to Wisconsin. I have been to this Jersey Mike's store several times and will not be going back. They care more about phone in and catering orders than they do the face to face customers. The past 2 times I have been in there I have had to ask them to replace the bread, meat & cheese before the fixings were placed on them since they just place it on a board that hasn't been cleaned from the previous sandwiches. Today (4.15.19) was particularly awful as the employee making the sandwiches had fixings landing all over the place (this has happened before on previous visits) there were jalapenos that landed on my sandwich and the "Mike's Way" all over the board. There was even jalapenos the ended up in the container of mayonnaise. (I doubt that was changed out even after I pointed it out) The manager was calling out to employees in the back and stated "when we start you and ?? will make all drive thru sandwiches back there".
