Alvarado's Mexican Fast Food — Restaurant in Englewood

We used to love this place. But lately you cant order on line or by phone for pick up. I stopped yesterday evening after work to pick up dinner for the family. One of my son's met me there. After entering the restaurant, we stayed back from the counter while we figured out what everyone wanted. Then we went to the counter. The young lady behind the counter had her back turned and was on her phone (they were slow, so this I didn't not mind) when she noticed us, she came to the counter (not the register) leaned on her elbow and mumbled something, I responded to what I thought she said, yes we are ready to order. Expecting her to move to the register where we normally order. I asked..... Can I order to which she responds yeah what do you want, I said excuse me to make sure I heard her. She again said. What do you want. At this point I said nothing and walked out. This is not customer service! We go to this establishment at least once a week and spend $60-$100, but never again. I spend 10.5 hours a day dealing with rude customers, and I try so hard to never be that customer. I get being tired but your customer service should never be cut short. Stand up straight, open your mouth when you talk. Ask, what can I get for you? Instead of what do you want. I am sad to say I won't...

Came through the drive through. I have had a poor experience both times that I have come to your restaurant.

The first time I came through service was friendly, but slow. I waited about 25 minutes in the drive through for my order. I was willing to come back because the food was good and the service was good.

This time, the server took no time to confirm the details of my order and was brusk and rushed-- there were NO other people in the drive through and few cars in the parking lot-- I ordered a combo that entails 3 options of enchilada. When I got to the window, I was ignored for several minutes entirely, then the server quickly took my card, and still did not confirm what enchiladas I wanted in the order. When I inquired as to what kind of enchiladas I was given and pointed out that they did not ask, I was told: "In the drive through, you have to tell us, I don't know what they gave you."

End to end, this person was rude and dismissive. I will not ever return to your restaurant again. When you work in food service, you are serving more than the food, we are also ingesting the experience, and I never want to ingest this person's bad attitude EVER again. I am very...

I went thru the drive thru. Service was quick and simple and was polite. This was my first time ordering thru drive thru. I have had their menudo before and it was very good! I ordered the chimichanga meal and the shrimp fajita meal and both taste pretty good! I’m from Texas so the Mexican food I’m use to is a little different. There was a choice of one big flour tortilla or a few small corn tortillas with the fajitas. I have attached pictures here. There was no sauce that came on the chimichanga, but I ordered an extra side of enchilada sauce - it was $2.50. Which is a little higher than I would normally pay. The rice and beans are good! The red sauce that come with it is HOT! So if you like spicy sauce they’ve got it for ya! lol it’s quite a bit of food for the price so I’m satisfied! I needed a quick meal and barely had to wait in the drive thru line. Only thing I’m not so happy about is there’s no free chips and salsa with the entree purchases. But I blame COVID for that…. Anyways!! Overall I think it was great! I will continue to try out the rest of their menu. Hope this review helps! I love that they are open 24 hours!
