I go into this Location 3 Days a week. I order the same drink every time. Tall Dark Roast, and sometimes a Vente Cup of Just Ice. I am greeted by name every time because of how often i go in, and I order the same thing every time. I carry a Starbucks Gold Member re loadable Debit Card Since 2013. If they do not have dark roast brewed. they ask me for a pour over, or they just know that is what I will order, because, I order the same thing every time. I usually go in around 1-1:30, and no they do not always have dark roast brewed because that is not there house brew. That is Pike Place.
I have had a certain girl with blue hair wait on me before, and I asked her one time to remake me a cup of coffee, because it was either not a dark roast, or she did not use enough grounds. A bit of attitude from her, to the point that she handed me off to another associate on duty. They exchanged a few words as she nodded to me, and had him remake my order. I went back in on Thursday the 6th, and she was the associate working the front register, took the order of the person in front of me, then asked another person to come over and take my order. Ok, if you don't want to wait on me great. So the associate who was "Waiting on me" was literally looking through me to figure out what the Manager and another associate was talking about outside. I ordered my normal order, which she has waited on me several times in the past, and continues to look outside as she is pushing the buttons on the register. When she walks over to the Pike Place thermos and proceeds to fill a cup up and then hand it to me. I then asked her if that was pike place, she said "yes" I said "I did not order pike place, I ordered, dark roast" she replied, "we don't have any dark roast brewed." I said yes I see that, but I ordered a dark roast, which I do every time, and you did not even give me the option of a pour over. She offered to make me one, but that could have been because the Manager was now standing in the store next to her, so I guess the conversation she was so worried about outside was over, and she could now focus on customer service. I was so frustrated. I can't believe it is this hard to get a simple cup of coffee, especially when you go somewhere where everyone know your name, and what you order. So I left, let them keep my $2.32 for the coffee they would not, or could not get brewed correctly. As I left I ran into 2 other associates outside, they knew I was mad, I asked for the Regional Manager's name and Phone Number, they gave it to me and apologized for what happened to me, and I told them I would not be back to this location. So I called Amy, the Regional Manager. I tried to leave her a message that day. Her voicemail box was full. So I texted her a message, stating that I tried to reach her but her Mailbox was full, but I just had a bad Experience at you Broadway loctation and I would like to talk with you about it. I left my name and Number. I have not heard from Amy as of yet. I called just now and left her an actual Voice mail. She has emptied her mailbox, but not replied...
Read moreMy girlfriend has gone through this drive-thru a few times with mostly good experiences, which is where I’ll meet in the middle with three stars. This is hands down the most horrid employee attitude I’ve ever encountered in my life. I don’t frequent Starbucks, but if I do go, it’s on my way to work because I didn’t have time to make cold brew myself the day prior.
I usually stop closer to the hospital, but I decided to stop here due to the snow and a suspected slow commute. I made an online order and pulled into the front to swing by and pick it up. I was greeted kindly by two employees and then abruptly interrupted by an employee in the back who yelled, “That’s not a parking space. It’s a fire lane, which is a fire hazard and it’s actually illegal.” Wow. Excuse me for not activating my super power vision to see through snow and realize otherwise. There were no other signs to say so. I was shocked and embarrassed at the same time.
I could think of several different ways to phrase this that would have in no way been inappropriate but simply informative. I felt awful, apologized and told the staff I would move my car as I didn’t think my drink was ready. The rest of the staff was just silent.
It’s amazing the impact one employee can have on your decision to ever visit an establishment again, and it appears from other reviews that this type of attitude is not abnormal and maybe it’s just this one employee. Perhaps, go through the drive-thru to avoid interaction, and you might be okay, but if you’d rather avoid the start of a 16 hour shift to begin with a greeting from a pit bull…just drive down a few blocks.
“It’s a no from me.” I’m actually glad it snowed because maybe I would have given my money to this Starbucks again had I been able to see it was a fire zone.
It’s amazing that I spent all day preventing a human being from coding in the ICU and THIS is still the most impactful moment of my day: an employee who presumed I maliciously knew exactly what I was doing and chose to viciously attack me for it as a result.
You can have great, mediocre, and occasionally bad experiences from a business, but still choose to go there knowing that not every day is gonna be perfect. This experience was so horrific that I will make a concerted effort to NEVER...
Read moreI had two experiences with this place today. The first one was just your typical Starbucks experience. I got my coffee (tall caramel macch - stingy on the caramel but oh well). The customer service was quite superb. The red headed lady at the window was very friendly, polite, and attentive.
They're getting a one star review because when I paid for my coffee, which was $6 and some change, I paid with a 20. I got back change for a 10. I didn't realize it until I was up the street at the Copper Pot eating breakfast. It's only $10, but I'm from out of town, I'm on a cash-only basis, and $10... that's darn near half a tank of gas.
I called the store, and they gave me over to the manager right away. I could tell that she thought it was kind of a lark. She was giggling and chuckling the whole time. I could tell that she had it in her mind it's not a big deal. It's not the monetary value, it's the principle. Anyway, she said if I had a receipt then she could go ahead and refund me the cash but if I didn't have a receipt she could only give me a drink card worth about $4.
Look here: a till, is a till, is a till. The till starts with X amount of cash, I used to do them at 300, and then anything added to that is your sales for the day. Put the 300 back in the till, and what you have left should match your receipts. If it doesn't you have either an overage, or a shortage. So if you short-change somebody, your drawer is going to have more money than expected. Very simple. I wasn't going to make her count the till, and she certainly didn't offer to do so.
Anyway, very disappointed with the...
