I don't even know where to start :* should I start with the food that was shockingly delicious? Or should I start with the fact that this kind of place gives one hope for humanity?

I just stumbled upon this place and went in to get biscuits and gravy because I saw a picture here on Google Maps that showed the biscuits and gravy with wild mushrooms

I didn't even know it was vegan! I'm not vegan, though I do eat a lot of vegan food

So I was not expecting the biscuits and gravy to be super great, I've had vegan gravy, I've made vegan gravy… It's OK

The biscuits and gravy was to die for delicious

The biscuit was delicious the gravy was delicious and the fact that they had tons of mushrooms and the option to add on a wild forest mushroom, today it was morel mushrooms!!!🍄‍🟫🍄‍🟫🍄‍🟫 omgoddess

The portions were large, this ratio of gravy the biscuit was perfect

And the mashed potatoes I got were delicious

Even the espresso I got was above average delicious

I don't think I've ever left a five star review before 🤔

in this place deserves five stars because Somehow, even though they have totally reasonable prices the servers and all their employees get living wages and don't get tips

It's a little confusing the way it's worded on the menu . it says "a tip will not be added to your bill"

What it should say is "our servers do not accept tips"

But it does say: in lieu of tips you may don't need to paying it forward providing free meals for people in need

I don't know how they do this with such a small restaurant but it gives me hope for humanity.I'm so excited that this place exists…

What a pleasant surprise

Everything they make looks so delicious, though it will be hard to not get the divine biscuits and gravy every single time… It's kind of my comfort food and wild mushrooms are my favourite thing in the world

Apparently they have different wild mushrooms depending on what's in season, and if you don't add those on you just get a ton of crimini mushrooms

The only criticism/feedback I have is that I was not told about the wild mushrooms when I ordered, but found out after my biscuits and gravy was delivered when I talked to an employee who dropped off my food

Luckily they weren't very busy and were able to get me some morale mushrooms to add on really quickly before my food got cold

so they should definitely ask people if they would like to add on wild mushrooms when they order, every time

It's so unique and special it really should be part of their advertisement

They should have big wild mushroom signs outside🍄🍄‍🟫 or a blackboard with the mushroom of the day in chalk to let people know what they have

and the only other "negative" I could see about this place is that it's really small, they don't have very many tables… I can understand why another comment said they had to wait a long time

I apparently got lucky going in an hour before closing today

The patio could use a little bit more lovely decoration, though, I bet it was beautiful couple weeks ago when the plant all around my table was flowering

this is my new favourite restaurant , & I'm not even vegan

I don't go out to eat very often but when I do you can be sure I will be supporting this place!

This place is about good healthy food but also obviously serious about community! And they don't just talk, I think they give out free food every day, if I read the menu correctly

I'm going back during different wild mushroom seasons 😏

ps: you should probably warn your customers when you serve a mushroom that reacts badly with alcohol.even I almost forgot and had a mimosa… Morel mushrooms are one of the kind that can make people sick if they eat them...

So this was a strange trip, my friend and I needed to find a vegan restaurant to meet her dietary needs and we had never tried this place, there were so many things we absolutely loved, like the 'no gratuity' because they pay their staff a living wage and will take extra to pay it forward to those who cannot afford food instead. The atmosphere was comfortable, the staff were friendly, the outdoor seating area was beautiful, the waffles we got were delicious, but it was all tainted by the fact that we came in at the absolute wrong time. We ordered at 11:30 am on a Saturday when the restaurant was busy, and didn't get our food until 12:30 pm. It was absolutely insane, I've never had to wait that long for a meal and there were no "oh, so sorry, we have an emergency in back" or the like so I'm assuming this is their norm for busy times. A mother daughter sat next to us toward the end of our visit when the crowds had left and ordered a shepherd's pie (plus another dish I can't recall) that came out in 10-15 minutes so I'm not sure if they just can't make waffles, if they lost our order for 45 minutes then found it again, or if they just took that long with everyone who came in at their busy time. Anyway, I'd love to try more of their dishes but I'll be super careful to go when they...

Edited review: Make sure that you check your order before you leave. I bought five things that each came with a side of chocolate dipping sauce (which helped justify the cost) and I didn't get a single sauce. I was missing five items and because there is no phone number on their website, I reached out through Instagram direct messaging immediately since I'd communicated with the business that way in the past with questions. The message was seen soon after, but I got no response. Waited a few days and tried another way to reach out (my email receipt): no response. Waited a few days and reached out through email: no response. I love small businesses and support them, and hate to leave a bad review, but if I buy something from you and you don't give it to me, that warrants a response and an apology at minimum.

A year ago my review: The food here was delicious, and I say that as a foodie vegan who loves big flavor. :) I tried the gf banana pancakes and gf summer hash, and I will be going back for both.

I appreciated that even though it was to-go, they made it beautiful and included edible flowers on the pancakes. I ordered to-go at the restaurant around 12:30pm, and it took 30 minutes to be ready, so ordering ahead would be a good idea on Sundays...
