Hunky Dory Smoke Shop — Local services in Eugene

I went here to replace an ash catcher I broke from here. They didn't have it but my roomie really wanted it asap. I got an angled one that didn't fit thinking it was the closest they had. Almost everything they have is angled right now. Wher are the 90 degree pieces? I go in for a swap and they have nothing that I can swap it with that will fit my roomies piece. I ask for my money back which they said was an option when I bought it. The guy asks the manage. Both refuse me. They offer me partial store credit. I ask if they will get the right piece, they say no. Why would I want partial store credit? They say the "guy" doesn't make them anymore. I say "you mean Chinese fsctpry", knowing it's chinese because they are all on DHGATE. Even the branded pieces. Seriously. Thing costs $4.50 in bulk. I could get it for 15 or less but because my roomie wanted it that day and I broke it i tried to respect his wish. And this shop screwed me. Never spending money here again. The manager was totally rude and belittling. The other guy was nice but couldn't help me because the manager was a jerk.

I didn't use the piece once I took it home, unwrapped it, realized the issue, and wrapped it back up to take back the next day after work.

This shop is not worth a dime. Everything is overpriced Chinese factory glass. The staff I bought it from admitted it, calling it generic when I asked who the maker was. Then the people I try to return it to lie, saying the "guy" doesn't make them anymore. I saw the right piece on DHGATE....

I gave up waiting for the end of a lengthy personal conversation between staff and some of their friends hanging out in the store and asked for help (since no help had been offered). With obvious reluctance, one of the young ladies tore herself away from her chat and proceeded to ''help'' me by telling me I was ignorant about what I wanted to buy. Since I've been using the item I was looking for since about 1968 (about 30 years before the clerk was even born), I can't say I appreciated her comments. All in all, I wouldn't go back to this store. The staff there clearly pick and choose which customers to treat with civility and which customers to treat like unwanted interruptions :( Too bad, because they have a really nice selection...

I walked in before another gentleman and the lady at the counter decided that she was going to help the gentleman that walked in after me before she helped me. Took her about 15 minutes to sell this guy a pouch of tobacco. Very slow and disorganized. Took another 10 minutes for her to wrap the glass piece that I bought and ring it up. Spent a half an hour in there for what should have been a five minute deal. Supposedly they were out of all the basic pieces that I wanted period ended up having to buy a $15 Bowl when I went in to purchase a $5 bowl of which I have gotten there before. Very dissatisfied, probably will not return. Need to find another glass shop maybe try Cornerstone before you go to...
