During a recent trip through Eugene, I enjoyed lunch at this very cool place. The food is fantastic. The line was long. Usually, I am way too impatient to wait that long, but I am so glad I did. I ordered the Griefo and the Not-Chos. The Griefo was delicious and messy. The sandwich was loaded with toppings; the sandwiches are served open-face, so I guess that's what you call them. The Not-Chos were spicy and awesome. The prices were reasonable too. I feel like this is not only a nod to the stoner culture; I mean come on, you are in Oregon! But it also felt like a place I would have frequented as a teenager. It has a very early 90's vibe. The people are great, too. Everyone was working super hard and despite the longer wait in line, I got the food pretty fast. The guy at the register was so patient. There was a group ahead of me with about 12 people. They opened the other register to help move things along. His infectious patience and kindness helped set the right tone for the visit. I will definitely return when I pass through again.

HIGHly recommend!! We visited on a sunny Feb 2023 afternoon for a late lunch and it was somewhat busy and our service was kind and patient. It was our first time and they gave menu suggestions. I ordered the Mid-West Club and it was SO tasty! The bread was toasted, lots of meat, and fresh veggies. The dijonnaise was my favorite part of the sandwich! They have a variety of options on the menu and various drinks to choose from. They have a small bar in the back with a variety of draft beers. Indoor and outdoor seating options. The atmosphere is fantastic with great tunes and unique art/decorations. I wish we lived closer so that I could try more of their menu, but we will for sure return the next time in Eugene! We loved our experience! We found parking behind the building and didn't have any issues as we sat inside and ate our sandwiches and chatted with a friend for quite a while.

Cheba Hut is a cheeky themed #sandwichshop that can be found nationwide and has a shop in Eugene, OR, and was our lunch selection this last weekend. I ordered the KGB, which is a roast beef sandwich loaded up with mushrooms, horseradish, and Swiss cheese. I opted for the garlic herb bread bc it's a must. The Shake & House dressing is also a flavor bomb you don't want to skip. What really great is you actually get the 12inch sandwich and eat half now and half later. Beacuse they toast the bread before loading up the toppings, so sogging out isn't a thing. Honestly, the theme might be off-putting to some, but don't miss out on the exquisitely prepared toasted subs. You can order online and grab your subs to go with ease. The staff is always welcoming and friendly. Parking is usually easy to come by at this location. If you want a damn sandwich, then this is the place for you.

I do not want to judge them solely on this experience. So I want to give them a second chance. Once I do I will update this review.

I feel like this could have been an awesome experience however it wasn't. I had a 7 hour very complicated surgery. My nurse said that ( since I love delis and sandwiches in general) I was able to eat solid food again Chubba Hut was the place to go. Well, once I was, i needed my caregiver at every moment during my recovery. We had tried ordering online for delivery several times over a 2 day period.

When I called Carol was very nice she was hoping to have the internet backup so that doordash could deliver. This never happened. When I called the 2nd time Carol was not there. Then the 3rd time, the same. I talked to a young man who was fairly rude. I guess he didn't think that deliveries were all that important. So after about a week of recovery we went down there to order our sandwiches. We bought 4 blunts. But since we are from out of town we asked for everything wet to be on the side and we paid for 4 sides of ajus, that we didn't get.

Anyways, once we got home and were about to eat one of our blunts we discovered all this. I called out of complete disappointment and, got CAROL!

Again she was very kind and understanding of how frustrating this was for me! Not only that but she remembered, me. She compensated us 3 full blunts of our choice for the next time we come to town. We hope to meet one another and that would be nice.

What really bothers me about this whole situation is that when we went in there was a tall young man from corporate that asked about what happened over those 2 days. I told him about it, then he said he'd make sure THIS order was CORRECT and apologized for our bad experience. I thought it was nice that he cared to know! He's from corporate?? That's soooo disappointing! He didn't make sure of anything. Carol did all the work! I'm so glad she was back when I called this last time. I hope that my 3 full Blunt size sandwiches will be compensated to me the next time we come to town and that it was not forgotten!

If so then all hail too careful the Blunt Queen!

I will also change this to a 5...

We never ended up eating the subs, so this review does not reflect the quality of the food its self. My husband and I have been wanting to try Cheba Hut since we moved to the area last year. We drove about 50 miles from the south for a neurology appointment and planned a trip to get a toasted sub on our way home. The location its self was difficult to navigate, as theres little to no parking spaces for visiters. Theres a couple pay spots on one road, but the other 3 sides of the building only have reserved parking pass spots and an area for employees to park. Once we found a spot in an alleyway, which was pretty sketchy, we brought our dog (for fear shed be stolen) and sat outside at the patio seating. My husband went in to get drinks and a menu. They said they're not serving alcohol at this time. The seating area outside is almost on the road downtown, alot of traffic, some strange and sketchy people constantly walking by, being obnoxious. So we left. I wont go to that location again. It not only felt unsafe, but with the lack of safe parking and no booze, it just wasnt worth the $20 we would have spent for 2 subs. Maybe find a better location in Eugene, ill probably try the place in Bend next time we head over the mountain. Very...

Decided to try Cheba Hut for a company picnic and the food and service we received was tremendous. Emily, the manager, was incredibly helpful, answered all of my questions thoroughly regarding the ordering process and even helped us carry everything out to our vehicle when we came to pick up.

As an office, we decided to try their Fat Sack option which includes a sandwich, a bag of chips and a krispy treat. Each individual in our office was able to choose the type of sandwich they wanted, including making modifications, choose between regular potato chips and nacho cheese doritos and choose between the regular, chocolate or fruity krispy treat. The food was a huge hit with our office! Lots of compliments regarding the bread and the quality of the other ingredients. The bags also had our names written on them so it was easy to sort.

Finally, their dill pickles! We asked for extra pickles and they delivered.

I 100% recommend them for a company event (we had 25 orders total). I also look forward to ordering sandwiches from them just for me in the future.

Huge thank you to the entire staff at Cheba Hut and an extra shout out to Emily,...
