Mama Mayra's tacos are wrapped in corn tortillas that they make fresh on the premises. This is a huge upside if you're eating tacos, and to my knowledge they're the only local place that offers it.
I wasn't as excited about the stuff inside the tacos. They don't have al pastor or chile verde tacos, so I chose chicken and carnitas. The former was bland but tender; the latter was flavorful but dry. Next time I'll get the carne asada and hope it's the best of both worlds.
I found the burritos to be the opposite of the tacos. The flour tortillas, which they do not make themselves, were the gummy chewy kind that stick to your teeth, but the filling offered a nice blend of texture and flavor in every bite. If you're like me, you'll enjoy the burritos but would like them much better if they used decent tortillas.
The bean burrito was tiny and should be described as a kid's burrito so people know what they're getting (or not getting). I can't name anywhere that sells a bean burrito this small and doesn't label it as a child portion, and for $3 you should expect more.
The people are nice, and it's a nice little restaurant. Go get some tacos, the tortillas are...

Update June 2019 - What the heck happened? Moved to a new location that's dirty and run down. The food was disgusting. Ordered a veggie quesadilla that tasted rotten. My husband ordered the Chile Relleno plate which tasted even worse than what I got. The chili breading was soggy and flavorless. Ordered chips and guacamole on the side, but the chips didn't come with the guacamole, so I paid another $3 for chips and salsa. Never got the salsa and the $4 guacamole came in a ramekin the size of a side of ketchup...Mama Myra, you were so full of soul and your cooking was exquisite! Please tell me you're on holiday in Oaxaca or somewhere awesome and that you left the restaurant in the hands of some incompetent kids for the summer. I'll try to come back, but this last experience will...

They CHARGE 3 bucks for SALSA AND CHIPS!!! lol...(a tiny plastic basket of chips...maybe 12 chips)The "salsa" was some weird green stuff they put on everything...it is not like any green salsa I have ever tried...it wasnt gross...but I was charged money for it to come with the chips, and they had it in squeeze bottles for u to use in the lobby. I got a quesadilla...guess what? There was NO CHEESE in it!! There were beans and translucent(yucky old) tomatoes, sour cream and Chicken in it....Zero cheese...To me thats just weird and wrong. My coworker got tamales...dry, tasteless funk. He did not eat it.His Spanish rice had weird frozen mix veggies in it! They dump the food off and NEVER COME BACK.
