I really like the food at Panera - Until recently, I have continuously had Panera for Lunch or Dinner, at least once a week. Less than a year after it opened, the service took a nose dive but more importantly the accuracy of food did. I slowly, but surely, eliminated trips to Panera eventually dwindling to vowing to never again--specifically the Everett location. As I read the other reviews, nearly all of the mention the same issues.. the sad thing is, I can handle crappy attitudes and slow service, provided my actual order (straight off the menu, no substitutions or changes) came out of correct the first time. I kid you not, I would say 7 out of 10 visits something major was inaccurate with our simple order: no meat on sandwich, missing salad toppings, incorrect dressing... these are things that should be nearly fail proof.
In addition, not only do I get an extremely negative attitude in response to asking politely for my food to be fixed, but I have never, not once, been offered anything in return for my inconvenience (pastry, coupon, discount, etc). There was one employee in particular that I probably had to ask for my order to be corrected a dozen times---never once an apology, or even an acknowledgement that I'd ever had an issue before. The drive thru is my preferred choice but after less than a year of hoping they'd get it right--I had no choice but to discontinue using it as I am always needed to pull out every single item out of my bag and physically inspect it so I can have it fixed before I get all the way home... it's pretty sad when you go in KNOWING this will have to be done.... I've never had any of the issues at any of the other Panera's I have patronized and it's frustrating and upsetting that we get the pleasure of having this half-assed version of Panera.
The visit that become my last, I went in to order myself and my girlfriend the same two salads we had been getting since Day #1 to be told they no longer have those? What do you mean? They've had both since the first day I discovered Panera. You can't still make it, I'm sure they have the required ingredients as I gaze up at the menu and look at the ingredients in some of the other ones. No apology, no recommendation of a new salad... it didn't bother them one bit, in fact, I sensed a sigh of relief from them as I turned around and left to go look elsewhere for 2 overpriced salads. I left a critical but constructive message on the corporate phone number and sent a similar e-mail; and well over 1 entire year later---I have yet to receive a response or any sort of acknowledgement that it was receive....maybe it's not...
Read moreI absolutely love the food at Panera Bread! But there customer service at the Everett location is absolutely terrible by far! I go about once a week and usually know the run down of what I want. I ordered a large Mac ‘n cheese and a tulip cookie. I already know they are going to be out of the tulip cookie because the past four times I have gone they have been out, but why not try right. So yes the lady says they’re out of the tulip cookie, so I ask for a different kind of cookie, she then goes on saying they don’t have that either, so I’m to the point of asking what do you have available? Then she says a “Triple Chocolate Cookie” along with two other cookies. I say that I’ll take the Triple chocolate cookie, and then she asks me to pull forward to the window. I then ask her at the window if I could add on an extra baguette before I hand her my card. She then says we’re all out of baguettes I proceed to ask what she was going to give me for my side and she replies with “I haven’t gotten that far yet” as we all know in a drive-thru everything is already dealt with at the speaker box, unless it has something to do with a straw or condiments and so fourth. Then receiving my order I proceed along my way once I get home I see this cookie has some type of nut in it. So I look this item up and this cookies full name is called “Triple Chocolate Cookie with Walnuts” it probably has the nut in the name because a vast majority of people are allergic to nuts which includes me. As well as realizing she never asked for my phone number for their loyalty program I am in for Panera Bread. This was the last time I will be going to this Panera Bread I have gone to many others, that are by far out of this world with their customer service. That puts this Panera Bread in the dust. I would much rather drive 12 miles away then 3 miles away to a Panera Bread that knows what they’re doing. Terrible knowledge of menu and...
Read morePANERA SPOKANE Ordered sandwich, Erica, she was kind & replaced food. When picking up new one, different person asked "Why couldn't she 'just' scrape it off?" They added Thousand Island dressing to my sandwich it was explicitly "not ordered", yet once again the app failed. Why should I have to have a sandwich that I didn't order OR JUST SCRAPE MY FOOD? TACKY!! TACKY & RUDE!! PANERA WANTS YOU TO 'JUST' SCRAPE YOUR FOOD OFF WHEN THEY DO IT WRONG. Severely poor management skills when I called back to tell them it was rude behavior. Having been a top manager, (NOT IN FOOD SERVICE - THE LOWEST OF LOW), I can say that, I would never have told one of my customers JUST SCRAPE IT OFF? Whatever happened to good service? What happened to good management as well, PANERA WAS RUDE BUT WHEN I WAS RUDE BACK, I WAS TOLD DON'T DISRESPECT ME! What kind of customer service is that? The audacity to say "you will respect me", TO me? You already lost MY respect when you said "JUST SCRAPE IT OFF". You'd better believe I was rude because it's not right to TELL customers to JUST SCRAPE their food off, it's disgusting. And, to those that were rude, enjoy your life because you will never make anything of it. Can the same be said to me? No, I'm of retirement age, YOU RESPECT ME! The USA is one of the only countries on the Planet that does NOT respect elders. I already made my life, it was successful, lol. Perhaps, My level of life may have expectations other than "JUST SCRAPING MY FOOD OFF". Even the poor are not treated that way. Expect that you should have to "scrape your food off" if you patronize this particular Panera and I suppose they represent the entire company in my mind. Epic fail. Spokane = Sanctuary City, look at how it was created, Deborah Cuyle (the author). It trickles on down to the children, Panera. I'm not from here. SCRAPE YOUR FOOD OFF...
