I have passed this place so many times and FINALLY went to dinner this past weekend. One thing about Revere is it proves to never judge a book by its cover. From the highway it seems like more of a dive, but once we pulled into the lot I could see that it was a lot more packed than I would have imagined. Complimentary valet greets you at the entrance and there is a tent full of outdoor seating options. We ate inside and stopped at the bar for a drink while we waited for our table and I was impressed with how nice this place is on the inside - string lights around the bar area, two separate dining rooms, beautiful wooden plank walls. The food was amazing - there was not one dish we didn't like. We started with the cherry pepper glaze calamari and meatball insalata and enjoyed the complimentary bread. It's seriously so delicious. I was hoping to try the veal chop Parmesan for dinner, however they were out of veal by the time our 8pm reservation rolled around which was disappointing, but from what I can see from those who did get the veal it looked fantastic. I opted for the pork chop saltimbocca with a side of vodka rigatoni while my fiancé had the vodka chicken Parmesan. We were both very satisfied with our dishes and ended up packing half of our leftovers to enjoy for dinner the following night since we were definitely ready to unbutton our jeans at this point. We did save room for dessert though (duh) and shared the limoncello cake. Perfect ending to a...
Read moreStepping into Revere Restaurant feels like walking into a slice of history — the stone walls, cozy lighting, and soft strains of Sinatra set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The building dates back to the 1700s, and it shows in all the best ways — solid, warm, and full of stories.
I came in on a seafood kick and went with the seared branzino, and I can say with confidence: it was a standout. Delicate, expertly cooked, and served over saffron risotto with a lemon white wine reduction that was nothing short of perfection. The risotto was flavorful and rich without being heavy. My only critique? The shrimp on the plate was overcooked — slightly rubbery, and a bit of a miss compared to the finesse of the rest of the dish.
Wine pairings were on point — I had a crisp Pinot Grigio that elevated the meal without overpowering it. And then came dessert: tiramisu paired with a proper shot of espresso. I’ve never considered myself an espresso fan… until now. The way the bitterness cut through the sweetness of the tiramisu was a revelation. It was like discovering a new language and realizing you already knew how to speak it.
Service was warm and welcoming. The whole evening felt like a memory in the making.
All that’s missing is a cigar lounge and my wife sitting beside me — but for tonight, Revere came pretty...
Read moreArrived at the Revere on Sunday evening 12-17-23 having dined there before and found it to be very good. Upon our arrival we were met by three hostesses and we informed them we would be dining at the bar. Upon sitting down at the bar ( corner ) we were approached by a busboy ( after about 5 to 10 min) and he asked if we were going to be dining at the bar. He then gave us a place mat and plate but no silverware or napkins and walked away. The barmaid who was standing by the busboy never asked us for a drink order or offered any type of service to us. She looked at us a number of times but then walked away and was socializing with other patrons at the end of the bar. We waited approx. another 10-15 minutes during which time we were offered no service and I did not see the barmaid serve a single drink to anyone, event though the place mats and plates were in front of us on the bar. The bar was busy but not overly so as to cause this type of service. We then left the bar and on the way out I informed the hostesses what had taken place but was met with giggles and one then looked into the bar but did nothing. I can't leave a rating for the food or service because we...
