Little Owl Cafe — Restaurant in Fairbanks

Tired of the same old breakfast of bacon and eggs, I set out on foot to find something more creative. A 20-minute walk across the bridge led me to the charming Little Owl Cafe, and it was definitely the right choice. The cafe itself is incredibly inviting, with a cozy atmosphere perfect for hunkering down with a good book or getting some work done. I'm currently enjoying a perfectly made Golden milk tea from their impressive drink menu, which has a little something for everyone. For my meal, I went all in and tried a few things: the chicken fajita soup (the soup of the day), a satisfying GF waffle, and a decadent slice of matcha cake. What's really great about the Little Owl Cafe is its commitment to catering to different diets. They offer a creative twist on breakfast, brunch, and lunch that is gluten-free, celiac-friendly, and vegan-friendly. They clearly understand dietary restrictions and food safety, making it a great spot for anyone looking for a unique and safe dining experience.

Visiting from West Virginia. The wife loves vegan fare. Stopped in for breakfast 9/30/25 to grab a bite and some coffee. No viewable menu choices other than two paper menus (for food) and one (for drinks) taped down onto check-out counter top. Odd set-up, seeing that the line behind us was growing while we were stuck (unknowing as to choices) while waiting on others to pay for their orders. Felt rushed right out of the gate. First time visit, zero help regarding offerings of restaurant. Cashier seemed put out by having to wait on us. Unfriendly environment. Immediately told us that they were “out of” four of the twelve menu items offered. Food was fine, drink order was incorrect. My wife ordered coffee with oat milk, but clearly was standard black coffee. When she returned it to counter to ask about missing oat milk, she was met with “I put it in there, but I guess I can add some more”.
