play it again sports — Local services in Fairbanks

I've started going to Play It Again Sports recently after starting tennis. As someone that's never played sports, it was intimidating to even go into the store but everyone is exceptionally helpful and patient! They answered my questions, and even after I bought a tennis racquet that was too big and heavy for my size, they didn't give me any problems about returning it. I was worried because I had taken off the wrapping and used it even if for only 10 minutes. My tennis instructor (a former pro) said that if a business doesn't let you return a racquet that doesn't suit you, then they're not a good business. I bought a bike here a couple months ago. It was actually clearly brand new. I got it for 50% off. That's a fluke of a deal, even for them.

I took it to REI for some servicing, where I was charged me for every little thing they did. I won't say the damaged it.. but shortly after I noticed malfunctions in the gearing.

I was going to take in back to them to adjust, for more money - no doubt, but decided to pop into Play It Again first. They were so helpful, greeted me immediately, took my concern seriously, and after asking if I bought it from them, they placed it right up on the lift! It was fixed and tuned beautifully in minutes without a fee of any sort!

Play it again is the only place in Fairbanks to get a lot of sports equipment, and far cheaper than Beaver Sports. I recently purchased a pu ching bag fro. Them, and 2 years ago I got my treadmill. Both were brand new, and no problems with either, despite plenty of use! I love how they always have at least one very knowledgeable person on staff to help with any questions I may field, and they're quick to load things up for you too.
