Easily one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant. We were excited to try a new pizza joint while visiting the area. We arrived at the house of fire east location and were told off the bat there would be a 30-40 minute wait. That’s cool.. we order a pepperoni and a personal with just pineapple and chicken TO-GO. Girl who seemed to be new took our order and put in smoked Hawaiian. Which would be fine, if my fiance could eat pork. However, for religious reasons, he can’t. We also ordered drinks, garlic knots, and ranch. When paying, the guy read out our order and mentioned the smoked Hawaiian, which my fiance explained he can’t eat pork and to make sure it didn’t come with it, in which the guy told the people making the pizzas and assured it would be taken care of.
We then waited 20 minutes for a coke and water and proceeded to wait an additional 40 minutes for the pizzas where we saw pork was included. We also didn’t receive our ranch and had to remind them (we paid for it) and they were like so what would you like for us to do, while if we had extra time, I guess we would have waited an addition hour for them to make 1 pizza. However, we opted for a refund for the 1 pizza. We then asked where our garlic knots were and they said they were going to start on it now…… we waited over an hour. Everyone else in the establishment received their pizzas and were on their merry way. The operation seemed sporadic and little organization to orders. Definitely would NOT recommend...
Read moreThe pizza was awesome as always, but the wait was unreasonable and the service was feeble. We waited over 50 minutes just for our garlic knot appetizer. We had to ask for our cannolis which are premade. And I watched a couple that walked in at least 10 minutes after us get their pizza 10 minutes before us. With two small children, it was a two hour meal. Thank goodness I brought the tablet! Almost every employee was polite enough but seemed really somber. Except for this one female employee who was just full of attitude. She was either rude when talking to me or ignoring me or talking unnecessarily loud at other employees. When the owners are there, the experience is wonderful with top notch service.
Update: Once the charge posted to my credit card, I realized that the employee taking payment took it upon him/herself to pre-select an 18% tip. I didn't catch that at check out, because the tip screen was never presented to me. The only steps I had to do were sign and choose receipt option. Honestly. Who does that?!?! Rating...
Read moreJust finished the old world style pizza this evening about 5ish oclock, took awhile to come out, but it was looking a little busy so that was fine. Pizza tasted fine, no complaints there. Was upselled into buying some garlic knots with the " it'll be out in 6-8 minutes, so you can eat that while your pizzas in queue". Waited about 30 minutes for the pizza, wife and I took our time, ate the entire pizza, still waiting on the garlic knots. Mentioned it to one of the staff, said they were coming right out. 25 minutes later, still didn't see any garlic knots coming out/in the oven. I value my time more than a little bread that should have been on the table when it was promised to be. So my wife and I abandoned the knots, not worth it.
Whoever was in charge of the kitchen needs to relearn how to time food coming out to each table as it was ordered and promised. Sorry, but I will not be coming back, East ramp pizza and Hungry robot...
