The most consistent Mexican food in Fairbanks. The lingua full of flavor and I make nachos villasana when I go in. I take one of there containers to go put three scoops of green salsa two scoops of pico de gallo and one scoop of each of the other salsa. Stir it up and you have a funominal salsa for chips or to put on all your food. Thank you Taco King.

Today I went to Taco King for lunch. I've done this many times. Unfortunately I was unable to get a taxi and decided I would walk fortunately the window Street Bridge was open instead of being 1.1 mile it was 6 MI. The only good thing about the meal. The reason I've always enjoyed doing the Taco King was it was consistently good food and service. Well first to disappear was the grilled jalapenos and then the pico de gallo. Today I ordered my lingua an ass for a double order of beans with my rice. I normally make nachos. Well the beans didn't come with the order sorry minded the waiter ordered a double portion okay so right up I also let him know there was no sour cream as I had also left the guy at the front counter. I was 2/3 through with my food before they finally put some sour cream up. Charge me extra for whatever you want but keep the food quality where it was. Bring back the grilled jalapenos have the pico de gallo out and make sure the island stays stocked. We shall pay the extra amount and please listen to your customer give them what he orders and if he tells you something don't just nod your head and walk away. The first time in so many experiences I was truly disappointed. I also want to point out the normal staff was not there..

December 2024. I gave up on Taco King in Fairbanks. The quality just continued to deteriorate service and food I go out of my way to drive to North Pole to get close to what we used to get. Come on guys have some pride in what you do and...

We went here after arriving in Fairbanks. Our car dealer recommended it after I told him I love Mexican food (born and raised in the El Paso, TX- Las Cruces, NM area). When we walked in it wasn't the cleanest place, but I was optimistic as the best Mexican food is usually at a "hole-in-the-wall" type of place. The customer service needs improvement. They are talking in Spanish, not knowing that I know Spanish because I'm white, about some couple that had just left who complained because they gave her the wrong order. I ordered the red Chile plate and it was so far from real Mexican food. My husband had the chimichanga, same thing. The salsa has no spice, I tried all of them. The only reason I will return is for their Horchata! (sweet Mexican milk drink) is one of the best I've had! As for the food, I cook better Mexican...

As far as Taco King goes, this one ranked pretty low on my list. The normal Taco King feel I get back in Anchorage just wasn't present at this location. The dining room was dirty, musty, and grimey. Tables were uncleaned and the overall experience was not up to Taco King standards.

The tamales were VERY dry here. I can see why they were a "Special". Unflavorful and dry. I had to add moisture to it by drinking more Pepsi. On the positive side, the staff here were awesome. They were very open to accommodating our request to substitute the rice for chips. Once we sat down, they finally came over and wiped the table for us.

Overall, food wasn't great and it just didn't feel like the traditional Taco King experience. I'll be keeping my Taco King eating to my usual...

I go here whenever I have the chance. I moved out of Fairbanks and into Oregon but still visit every summer and I lived in Fairbanks 11 years. This will forever be my favorite spot to eat, the workers are extremely nice and as far as i’m aware they all speak spanish and english. my go to foods there are asada special tacos or chicken enchiladas. the food comes out super fast and is freshly made (not out of the freezer) this place isn’t just loved by me but loved by my entire family as well.. Kind workers, amazing food, fastly served to you? Now what’s not to love!! Sadly I won’t be visiting Alaska very often anymore but I hope to come here whenever I do.

We found this place on a whim. My wife wanted tacos but we knew it would be difficult to find good tacos in Fairbanks. So we ordered 3 steak tacos and 3 carnitas. First let me say the carnitas were bomb! Prices seem higher then what im used to BUT everything is priced higher in Alaska. Tacos seem light on the meat. It’s 2 corn tortillas per tacos with what seemed like a tablespoon of meat. So it was too much tortilla. Also I wish they given us salsa for our tacos. I think the tacos might of had some. But we couldn’t tell. I still give it 4 stars because I would go back to try other things on the menu.
