Mom's Kitchen — Restaurant in Fairbanks

Took me a hot minute to find the place, but my husband and I finally figured out that it is the bar that hosts Moms Kitchen. This being said, I wouldn't suggest bringing the kiddos. I'm not even sure they're allowed - but you can call ahead for takeout. 👌🏻 Once you enter the bar you'll have to go to the back to find moms kitchens ordering counter. The inside is dark but there are several tables to sit at and they all have some sort of lamp or candle to light it up a bit. I love the vast amount of options moms kitchen provides. They've got burgers, tater tots, nachos, smoothies, curry, fried rice, pad thai & other noodles, thai iced tea, & more! I ordered take out drunken noodles with tofu (the tofu is not on the menu but ask about it anyway) & my husband ordered a burger. Now you may be worried about the price but let me point you to the size of these dishes. They're huge and absolutely delicious. The burger came with a side of delicious fries and my noodles came with a little side salad that had very tasty dressing. We did have to wait about 15 minutes for our food and there was no one else ordering, but to me it was so worth it. Even my husband was surprised at how good it was and is willing to go back and try new things. So to all in Fairbanks, Alaska looking for some yummy food - look no more....

DONT BE ALARMED! I know this place probably looks a little iffy/sketchy when you first show up. It's a window you order at inside of a sort of dive bar- this was the first place I chose to eat in Fairbanks and when I got there I was question my desicion. We decided to order anyways and LET ME TELL YOU- We haven't wanted to eat anywhere else since!! (But to be fair there is a lot of amazing restaurants here)

Their food is packed full of flavor and you get SO much of it!! You'll basically always have leftovers that still taste just as good reheated. Their Burgers are huge and full of melty and crispy goodness. I have gotten something new every time I go and never been disappointed, neither has my husband!! And I love that it has Thai and American options, both done to perfection!

The staff is very friendly and they work very hard. It's a small place and you can tell how loved they are by how busy it always is but they keep up with it! The amount of door Dash order you will see coming and going while waiting for your order is impressive honestly.

Tldr; DONT SLEEP ON MOMS KITCHEN!!! It's a little Hole-in-the-Wall places that offers amazing flavors and portions for a reasonable price! You'll want to order everything on the menu once you try...

Came to Mom’s kitchen for lunch and ordered the roast beef Au jus. The sandwich it’s self was alright beef coulda been more flavorful and my complain is that they use a plastic to go container for the dip which is a hot juicy broth and since it was hot the broth semi melted the cup and if you’re educated on how plastic leeches into the food system via heat and deterioration this is NOT good, as well as the fact that it’s terrible to use plastic in such a disposable way. The portion of fries was big and they were crispy. The place is inside Tony’s bar, another plus side to this is they are open late. The customer service was amazing friendly and when she got my drink wrong she came out and gave me a free one. I wasn’t gonna complain and was so thirsty I had already taken a big drink and she gave me the right one for...
