I went to the PopUp Bagels in Fairfield to grab some bagels for lunch. Sean was my cashier and he was super helpful, answered all of the questions we had about the different schmears and ended up giving us two containers of last week’s schmear specials for free. He was incredibly helpful, the atmosphere was amazing, the store was very clean and nice. I had an incredible experience and look forward to being back here.

Yummy fresh made bagels! A new fave. We got sesame and everything bagels. Tried their plain cream cheese and also had the scallion cream cheese. Absolutely delightful! It’s a to go place and there are no sitting inside. Bagel was warm when we got it and truly enjoyed it.

At $4 each, these bagels should be perfection, not reminiscent of hockey pucks in terms of both size and texture. One was great, but the other two were so poorly proved they were dense, gummy, and unpleasant to eat. It was my first visit, not sure I’ll be back.

1 Star Pop-Up Bagels – Fairfield, CT

This was, without question, one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had in Fairfield.

First visit: I was told I had to wait 20 minutes for bagels due to a broken oven. Fine. But then I was told I couldn’t wait inside because it violated fire code. As an Assistant Fire Chief, I know that’s absolutely false—at the time, only my wife and I were in the lobby, well below the building’s occupancy limit. Despite this, we were forced to wait in our car. Meanwhile, I watched others walk in and wait inside without issue. Clearly, the rules are enforced selectively. We left and went to Bagel King on Black Rock Turnpike—friendly staff, no nonsense, and amazing bagels.

Second visit: I walked in and politely asked what kinds of bagels they had. The young woman behind the counter didn’t answer—just picked up a bag and pointed to what looked like a menu printed on it. No explanation, no courtesy, just attitude. There were only five choices. We only wanted two bagels, but were told we had to buy three. When we asked about cream cheese, she said they only had one kind. Her smug, dismissive tone and demeanor were enough—we left again and returned to Bagel King, where they continue to earn our business.

Bottom line: Rude staff, selective enforcement of arbitrary “rules,” no flexibility, and terrible customer service. They seem to pick and choose who they want to accommodate, and that’s unacceptable. Skip Pop-Up Bagels. You’re better off supporting a local spot that actually values...

Pop Up Bagels is already a family favorite, but today they truly went above and beyond! It was my daughter’s first day of school, and she asked if I could surprise her with her favorite bagels to celebrate at pick up. I was running late and called the store just a few minutes before closing. Miguel answered the phone with such kindness, and when I asked if he might be able to wait for me, he didn’t hesitate. He not only waited, but with a smile, held the store open for an extra 30 minutes so I could make it.

This kind of thoughtfulness and customer care is rare and made such a difference in our day. Miguel turned a stressful moment into a wonderful memory for me and my daughter. Thank you, Miguel, and thank you Pop Up Bagels for having such an outstanding team member. We are so grateful—and of course, the bagels were amazing as...

I was driving on the post road in downtown Fairfield and was about to make a turn to get on 95 when I saw this large billboard that said Popup Bagels and a schmear (love that) right next to a little shop.I could not resist. I pulled in and it was clear this was not sandwiches but bagels.. and oh what bagels they are. (And I know Bagels). When you buy three they give you a good sized container of plain or scallion cream cheese FREE! Yes they are a little more than you usually pay, however they are really big, INCREDIBLE chew and the cream cheese is perfect. Soft and delicious. They were out of plain so I got salt, and two sesame. Trust me …they were fabulous.. Fairfield and surrounding..you want great bagels? Sorry Bagel King, this shop outshines you in every way.. these are great bagels and should be your...
