Hands On Pottery — Local services in Fairfield

I live an hour and a half from the studio where my granddaughter and I painted together. Our projects are ready to be picked up, and I’ve been trying to find 3 hours to come get them. Alyssa to the rescue! My daughter offered to pick them up but since they’re Christmas gifts, my granddaughter, who is 7, was pretty upset that her mom would see her gift. They could have wrapped everything in newsprint, tossed it in a box and said see ya later (which constitutes customer service at so many places). Instead, the two Christmas gifts will be in gift bags with tissue and ribbon and they can just put them under the tree! The idea of this place is nice but the staff is incredibly rude and this place is WAY too expensive to have that kind of experience. I had my daughter's 7th birthday party there 2 weeks ago and it cost me $700. One of the ladies was extremely rude to my guests parents making statements like "you can't be here" and being demanding towards the children about how they were painting and yelling at them. My guests and parents verbally expressed to me how uncomfortable they felt. For the price my family and I paid it was not worth it. If you don't like kids then simply don't work with them! My older daughter wanted to have her birthday party there in 2 months but we will find another place. Never coming back here and telling fellow parents to stay away...

Arrived one hour before closing for a small project. Staff initially informed me they closed promptly at 6PM to which I responded I understood. They proceeded to inform me that I could take the artwork with me and return another day. Once I proceeded to pick my artwork I was informed by an older staff member once again that they close at 6PM promptly. She further stated that an adult takes one hour to paint and that we would not have enough time to finish our artwork even though we had an hour left before closing.
