I really wanted my experience to be better. I know it's always a challenge with new restaurants. With that being said, my (to go) order was wrong. I asked for my Reuben to have the sauerkraut and thousand island on the side. the only thing that was on the side was the Thousand Island dressing. I was told that the $10 version of mozzarella sticks was larger than the 5.99 version.. $10 version had six, and the $5 version had four. What I received was a standard size mozzarella stick, so essentially, I paid $4 more for two more mozzarella sticks, so that was disappointing. I also ordered a cheeseburger; on the menu it says it comes with lettuce tomatoes and onions, what I received was a bun with a patty and a slice of melted cheese along with seven or eight slices of pickle on the side. I opted for the French onion soup instead of the fries. I also ordered a kids' meal of two chicken tenders and fries along with an additional side of fries that I paid for and did not receive. Now by no means was I expecting gourmet food but it was a standard craft Services Burger with no seasoning dry and overcooked, the french fries were standard preseason restaurant french fries with a taste that you would expect. The Reuben was decent but did not enjoy it as much as I would like because the sauerkraut that I asked to have on the side was on the sandwich, the French onion soup was also decent and I didn't bother to ask my daughter how the chicken tenders taste but they look like Standard Restaurant tenders.. oh, and for some odd reason, there was a small grilled "hot"pepper in the package with the mozzarella sticks. I'm not sure that was an accident, but it was kind of weird. The restaurant does serve breakfast. I will give them one more chance and try the breakfast menu before I decide never to...
Read moreNever got to sit down and eat and don’t plan on returning to try the food either which, I’m highly disappointed by.
The treatment I received before walking into the doors was ludicrous. I had an altercation with another customer who was blocking the parking lot. I was in no way in the wrong as I pulled into the parking lot and waited for this person to see me and pull back in so I can go through. This is not what happened.
I watched this person back their truck bed into the fenced area, pull in front of my car and stop. I initially attempted to tell them that in Illinois the person exiting a parking space must make way to oncoming traffic. The response I was met with from the individual was “You just don’t know how to drive because you’re a woman” albeit I had a frustrating morning to that point and was hangry which is why I was attempting to pull into the restaurant.
With enough back and forth and being called fat and telling me I could skip a meal and didn’t need to eat there. I went inside to get someone to help. Which was the opposite of that I was told more how I was wrong while the man was shouting and trying to warp the story while I was consistent with mine the employee took the side of the driver and I was continued to be told I was in the wrong by both despite trying my hardest to explain how everything happened, but it was clear to me I wasn’t being listened to.
I attempted to cooperate and allow the employee to direct my car through, which I still had no room to get around the truck which was diagonal, and still it was insisted I move around the truck.
I decided after that this place simply wasn’t worth my time, and left highly disappointed. But I don’t care to give my time and money to a business that would treat someone such a way or allow someone to treat...
Read moreWe wanted some breakfast and had passed by and saw that Franks was open, so we decided to try it out. The menu is kind of extensive for this place cause it is very small. You have the option of sitting where you want from the available seating. The coffee was good, and the waitress waited on us immediately. They have several breakfast skillet options to choose from. I chose a very simple skillet with hash browns and my eggs over medium. My daughter chose the French toast meal. I immediately recognized i had made a terrible mistake because the skillet was not what I expected. The toast that came with it was barely toasted, and the hash browns in the skillet didn't look cooked at all. The food didn't even taste like breakfast food. I tried to mix my eggs into it, but it didn't help. Apparently, I made a bad choice. The waitress saw that I hadn't eaten it, and instead of asking me what the problem was, she just asked if I needed a take-home box. I was not impressed, and if I go back, it will be to try the lunch menu to see if I fair...
