My wife and I are in our late 50s and early 60s, and we've been loyal customers of Boomers in Murphy for years. It's always been a great experience, so when we got tickets to see the Allen Americans play, we decided to stop by their Fairview location for dinner beforehand. Since it was early, the place was nearly empty. The manager walked us all the way through the restaurant to a table at the back, just outside the restroom, near where the waitstaff gathers utensils and napkins. Just awesome. My wife politely asked if there was another spot, and he moved us to a high-top just on the other side of the restroom. What the heck?
After waiting quite a bit, another hostess came to seat another elderly couple right next to us and I guess realized we had been forgotten about so she got one of the waitstaff to finally came over to take our order. As we glanced around, we noticed younger couples being seated up front and in the wings of the restaurant. It seemed clear they wanted to keep the older crowd away from the "hip" section.
Then, the food arrived. We both ordered the California RANCH chicken sandwich, but it was served without any ranch — the key ingredient the sandwich is named for. My wife opened hers and immediately frowned, finding two limp pieces of fatty bacon and a TINY sliver of avocado. I checked mine, and it was exactly the same. We had to wait for quite a bit before we could finally flag down our server who was busy chatting with a couple she knew. We asked for and finally got our ranch, but the experience was far from what we expected.
Given the service and food quality, we’ll stick to the Murphy location...
Read moreI was hoping the food would be great here based on the atmosphere and menu. It was not. My steak was overcooked and rubbery. My husband was never asked how he wanted his burger cooked and it came out more than well done. It also was the wrong burger. He ordered a classic cheeseburger and got a bacon cheeseburger with some sort of artificial tasting cheese sauce on it. My kids ordered the mac n cheese and hated it. I tasted it and they were right. It tasted like it was loaded with artificial ingredients and overly processed. Not only that but half of the dish was served stone cold. On top of that, my "steamed veggies" arrived after I finished my meal. It was clear they had been cooked in a microwave. No seasonings at all. They were rubbery and gross. Their queso that came with their Bavarian pretzel was not fresh and loaded with far too much sodium. Nothing tasted house made. In fact, everything looked and tasted like a microwave TV dinner. It was disgusting! And it costed 70 dollar plus a 20% tip! We all left feeling sick to our stomachs from the grease and artificial ingredients used, as well as ingredients that wete far from fresh. We will NEVER go back and NEVER recommend this place to anyone. I honestly do not know how places like this stay in business or even can live with themselves by serving food like this. Unethical, unprofessional and lacking in an resemblance to edible food is what you will get at Boomer Jack's. You're better off going...
Read more⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was our first time at Boomer Jack’s, and it definitely won’t be our last! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was fun, welcoming, and full of good energy. Our waitress, Rain, was absolutely phenomenal — one of the best servers we’ve had anywhere. She was friendly, attentive, and on top of everything, thinking of what we needed before we even had to ask. It really made our first visit stand out and feel special. The food was just as impressive. I had the Triple B burger, and it was outstanding — juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. My son got the bacon cheeseburger, which he loved, and my other son ordered the 14 oz steak, which came out tender and perfectly seasoned. My wife had the 8 oz steak, and she couldn’t stop talking about how flavorful and perfectly cooked it was. The fries were hot, crispy, and delicious — just how fries should be! My wife also had a Bloody Mary, and she said it was one of the best she’s had anywhere — perfectly balanced and full of flavor. Between the excellent food, great drinks, and truly exceptional service from Rain, our first visit to Boomer Jack’s couldn’t have gone any better. It’s rare to find a place where everything — food, service, and atmosphere — hits the mark, but this one did. We’ll definitely be back and will be asking for Rain again next time. Highly recommend Boomer Jack’s to anyone looking for a great meal and an even...
