This is one of my favorite places to eat in Fallon. The staff is friendly and helpful, and know their menu. They make ordering easy, and I don't ever wait too long for my food to arrive.
The food itself is very good, the fact that there is also a meat market here means that they make everything fresh. The asada has the right flavor, and is very good. The tortas are very good as well. I eat here at least once every time I'm in Fallon for work and I very much recommend trying it out.
EDIT: 10/2022 Traveling back home to Reno, I stopped in 15 minutes before they closed and ordered food to dine in, not knowing when they were trying to close for the night. They were really nice about it and waited for me to finish my dinner before shutting down for the night. They didn't mention trying to close, and never bothered me or asked me to hurry or that I should get my order to go. The staff were very kind. I can't stress how good the people abd food are...

I stopped through on a 2500mile road trip for some lunch and got caught by surprise. This little shop was unexpected! Everything I had (a bunch of tacos) was excellent.
The chorizo and pastor were both intensely flavorful and smoky, the chorizo especially so, not dry, but not soggy either (I usually prefer greasy chorizo, but this had some char, and was just ungreasy enough to catch me at a great middle ground that I didn't know existed). The lengua and cabeza both SLAPPED. Soft abd savory and fatty and falling out the taco exactly how it's supposed to. The cabeza was salty in a great way, and the lengua was a brilliant counter that with a very subtle sweetness. The buche was cooked up to be both soft and crispy somehow, and just was an excellent texture experience. Overall an excellent taco place.
Mendoza's added to my list of re-visits (for the next time I am passing through Fallon 😭😭😭 - I live...
Read moreThe place was constant with business from the moment inhaled in to when I leave. Regrettably my first visit to this type of restaurant in the 20 plus years of coming to Fallon. Had Jalisco tacos and a gordita. Tacos were super flavorful and had a dipping sauce. The shredded beef inside was moist and fresh. Gordita was a clean pocket of beef, sour cream, tomato and lettuce. Worth every penny. As authentic a taqueria as I've ever been. Service is super friendly and the store was clean. Can purchase fresh, and marinated, meats to make some food at home. Friends food was ready 1st since he ordered 1st, with a Carne asada burrito and the same meet tacos (pictured). Simple and delicious. 5 filled a grown man, and my...
