Worst service experience Ive probably ever had in my 45 years!! Terrible service and lousy food with the exception of pizza and clam chowder. It was Sunday July 3rd at 6:00pm when my husband, two boys and me arrived for dinner. We were hungry! We had been to the restaurant several times years ago for its pizza. We knew that the ownership had changed recently and thought wed give it a try again. To start the night off, we received a chilly reception from the hostess (an older woman with white hair who may even have been one of the new owners or a manager). I had to get her attention after standing in front of her for a few minutes. She wouldn't make eye contact with me. I asked if she was seating for dinner. Oddly, I could see that there were several tables open for a busy Sunday night. She said "yeah" , and then she looked away and continued to direct her staff. Super rude. I should have turned and walked out then! Finally, she turned my way and said abruptly "How many?" I answered "four." We were seated quickly. I was feeling hopeful. To make a long story short, we didn't get served until 7:30!!! An hour later! My broiled fish plate was bone dry without any flavor. The presentation was lacking as well as the taste as it was served in a metal plate without garnish or any fixings to add for flavor. The side of vegis was beats that were a nasty brown color. My husbands scallops were tiny and lost in the sea of mush. It looked more like soup. The boys enjoyed the pizza and my husband liked the clam chowder. The service was adding insult to injury. Our waitress had zero personality and seemed clearly stressed from whatever hell was going on in the kitchen. She never explained that our food was going to be late, that there was a backup etc. Instead,we were left to wonder "did they forget us?", we became increasingly hungry and anxious trying desperately to get her attention. Those who have kids know its even harder to keep them waiting. She must have been well trained from the other hostess lady on how to avoid eye contact with customers. My husband practically grabbed her when she zoomed by and asked for some bread and refills. She made no apologies for the lateness of the food and brought over bread. They were dry and hard rolls that seemed old. We gobbled them up as if we were prisoners of war and didn't know when our next meal would come. When our food finally arrived, she still never offered an explanation as to why our food was late and still no apology!! I couldn't take it and had to ask "was there a problem in the kitchen? That food took a really long time!" Her reaction caught me off guard. She acted as if she was also a patron..."Yeah I know it's crazy huh? This whole place has changed ownership and now everything is so chaotic! They are giving priority to takeout instead of people dining in!" ....then, she finally added as she walked away from the table..."sorry about that". There it was! Our long awaited apology. Just like the food,` it was a profound disappointment. On my way out I thought Id let our "charming" hostess lady know that we had "the worst experience". Maybe she would comfort me or give us a discount of some kind. Anything to show she cared about our patronage. But instead she acted confused. I said "Seriously??" She said "Well that's the Fourth of July!" Really??? Thats it? Ok, I thought the Fourth of July was about celebrating Our country's Independence. I guess its now a time when you can expect the worst service ever and prison style crappy food served by emotional avoider types who are well aware there is a huge elephant sized problem with their restaurant but pretend they don't see it?!. Hmmm. I just have to think if a restaurant treats its customers that way, I cant help but wonder whats going on behind the doors in the kitchen? I will never return. I dont believe they deserve a second chance. They had many chances to make it right with us. They just...

The pizza was greasy and burnt The whole paper underneath the pizza was full of Grease. The chowder was chunky and cold . The check took a while to come and it was very expensive for frozen cheap chunky food . The service was horrible, and the waitress was very noisy . The staff and especially the manager would give us dirty looks . The manger was extremely rude. when I left he tried to open my door and for no reason and he said I was too drunk to drive he tried to yank me out the car when I barely had anything to drink . He was taking pics of my tags and threatend to call the police . So I’f you what good food and service go to peel pizza I definitely do not...
Read moreMy wife and I had the pizza. If you like bar room pizza ,you won't be let down. The waitresses are very friendly and down to earth. The atmosphere is all about relaxing and just enjoying time out. They serve beer and wine. It's hidden in a back road near the ferry. I've lived here 25 years and never knew it was there. My wife and I love Linnwoods. Who doesn't know Linwoods that loves bar room pizza on the South Shore? I had pepperoni and onion. My wife has the veggie pizza. The pizzas are 15.00+ a piece. So, expect to pay 40.00 for 2 pizzas and 2 cokes. They have other food( you can check the menu online). Stay...
