The quality of the food served was concerning, as several dishes arrived undercooked, posing a serious health risk.
Initially, we were informed that our food would take a considerable amount of time due to the staff being busy. However, the restaurant was only 20% occupied at the time, which raised questions about the efficiency of the service. Unfortunately, our appetizers, including the chicken wings, were served decidedly raw. Subsequent entrees of steak and lobster tail were also undercooked, with the meat so raw that it exhibited bright red and pink coloration near the bone. Such vivid red typically indicates that the meat did not reach a safe internal temperature, which is alarming from a food safety perspective.
During our visit, I overheard multiple tables express their dissatisfaction with the service, which was indicative of a broader issue within the establishment. I was surprised to hear the staff offer a coupon to the table next to us due to their undercooked food concerns, which is hardly an appropriate remedy for such serious issues. Additionally, the waitress made a comparison of the quality of the wings to that of Pizza Hut, stating, "I'd say they're better than Pizza Hut." Such remarks are shocking, especially considering this restaurant positions itself as one of Fargo's higher-end dining establishments.
To summarize, I paid $200 for a meal that not only failed to meet basic culinary standards but also raised significant health concerns. While the manager was the only aspect of my visit that stood out positively, I cannot recommend this establishment based on my experience. If you value food safety and quality, I suggest seeking dining options elsewhere. I left hungry, but with no desire to eat anything after seeing the quality...
Read moreWe celebrated my boyfriend's birthday dinner at 84 Italian Steakhouse this past Saturday, and what started as a memorable evening ended in disappointment due to a shocking and unprofessional experience with our server.
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The decor was elegant, and the initial service was attentive, making us feel excited about the evening. The food was delicious, and we truly appreciated the effort put into the presentation and flavors.
However, after our meal, our experience took an unfortunate turn. While we did leave a tip for our server, he approached us and made an inappropriate and humiliating comment. He stated, “If you don’t have money, don’t dress up and come to a luxury restaurant if you aren’t going to tip or tip well.” We were absolutely taken aback. This was not only uncalled for but also deeply embarrassing, especially in front of other guests.
What made the situation even more upsetting is that it felt targeted. We couldn’t help but feel that his behavior was because we’re people of color. The comment and attitude he displayed suggested a bias that has no place in a professional setting, let alone a luxury restaurant.
We understand the importance of tipping and respect the hard work servers put into their job. However, the way the situation was handled was unprofessional, discriminatory, and completely unacceptable.
What could have been a wonderful evening was overshadowed by this incident. We hope the management takes this feedback seriously and addresses this behavior, as it reflects poorly on what otherwise seemed like a...
Read moreHmmm this is a confusing review to right. First of I would to take a moment of silence to thank my man Monty. He is a gift sent from above. Such a sweet man. Good intentions. Welcoming. And such a well dressed fella. Me and my boyfriend came down for a visit up from Canada. We stayed at the Radisson blu. And figured we could have dinner here. Now I do have dietary restrictions. I’m celiac and also vegan. They were very kind in trying to accommodate me. The problem was the wait time. People that came in muchhh later then us seemed to keep getting there food first. We waited around an hour and a half to get 2 bowls of pasta. Which weren’t that good. Seemed to have no seasoning whatsoever. While we were eating we saw 2 chefs mingling in the dining room. While we were sitting there nearly reaching starvation. Famished we were, we continued to sit in silence. My man Monty, the legend that he is, apologized and offered us a free dessert. Which was very kind. Our server Jo on the other hand was an interesting man. He was nice enough to take a picture of me and the boo, but I think he was frightened by us. I believe he was aware that our food was taking too long but thought that avoiding us by walking by extremely fast and not making any form of eye contact would be appropriate. Now my man. This ain’t how it’s done. But at last, we were famished no more. Will not be visiting again. The hotel maybe. The bar maybe. The restaurant a big fat no no. Monty, a big...
