I visited a few Sundays ago and usually have a wonderful experience at Colton's. This visit, not so much. Service appears to have gone downhill. I had inquired about a specific table and they said they would check on it. They said they could seat us there but when they took us over, we were sat at one table back which may have been where the confusion started. We sat for 10 minutes as server after server walked past our table and never took any orders. My husband finally went up to the host desk and told her that no one had ever come back to our table. She seemed surprised and said she would look into it immediately. A couple minutes later, a server was walking by and stopped and asked if we had been taken care of yet. I said "no" and he asked if we knew what we wanted. We told him we were ready to order. We finally got to order our drinks, appetizer, and entrees. Our salads came out and I had to pick quite a bit of lettuce out as it had a lot of brown on it. We finished our salads and continued to wait. The appetizer came out about 20 to 25 minutes after we ordered it. We finished our appetizer and continued to wait even longer for our entrees. Our server walked by and asked if we were ready for dessert. My husband informed him that we didn't even get our steaks yet. Our server thought that someone else had already brought them out. About an hour after ordering our entrees, they finally came out. I don't know how long they had been sitting in the kitchen but both the butter and sour cream in our potatoes were just puddles at this point. Our steaks were lukewarm. I don't know how they sat in the kitchen that long without someone noticing that they were just sitting there. I love Colton's filet mignon so I won't completely give up on them but it's going to be a while before I return. I'd like to think that it was due to being short staffed but it seemed as if most of the staff was gathered around the bathroom giggling and watching another staff member clean up whatever had happened in there. I also really wish they'd stop sitting children and babies in the bar. It's really distracting if you're trying to watch a game and you have a baby screaming...
Read moreFirst, I always come into bar side and sit. Did again. 3 single tables that seat 2 were empty, girl told me to sit wherever I wanted, so I did. Kept myself busy on phone and ate peanuts. Had bartender walk by 3 times, after 12 minutes, another couple comes in and sits in front of me. It wasn't even 2 minutes and here comes bartender over to them and takes their drink order. It took about 5 min or so she brings their drinks and takes their order. As she walking away I said, 'excuse me, I've been sitting here for 15 min before them, I'd like a water and flight.' She says, 'you're not my table, he's over there and will be with you soon.' That took another 6-7 min. He came, was apologizing, very nice, took my drink order and went to get my rolls. Now I know the place can get busy, I came in at 230 and 2 people were sitting at bar and the bigger tables had people, but they were already eating, come on, either have another working bar area, ot get rid of her. I noticed she only takes tables w men or a large crowd and that is because of tips of course. At least greet all your customers and they can take a drink order, they have done that before. Now I've been here an hour and 9 minutes and some other peeps got their food. I still have not gotten mine. My waiter came back, said he was going to make sure they didn't loose my ticket. As he went 1 way, another server came around w my plate, haha. Cut into my steak, looked and tasted great as usual. Funny thing, I got my food and couple in front of me was leaving. So moving on, my potatoe was not cooked through, kinda tuff and I didn't get any extra butter or any sour cream, ugh. Mac n cheese good and hot. My 2nd beer was hot, bartender did a restock so guess I got 1 that didn't have long to chill. Now, it's empty in here, there are more servers or greeters standing around in front. Guess waiting for tonight's peeps. Now 2 hours later I'm leaving. I blame management on this and not good service from the one and only, after Noone was here, finally asked if I was ok. Yep, getting ready to leave, let me take my left overs and get out of here. 1 time out of many isn't bad, but...
Read moreWe've been going to this location for many years and mostly everything has been good. Yesterday, Monday February 7, 2022, my wife and I went for lunch about 1:15 PM. No lines, seated fairly quickly in Bar area. Took the waiter a while to come take an order, upon noticing, this gentleman was the only one working this entire area, which included making drinks at the bat also, he was running as fast as he could. Took order, received drinks and salads after about 20 minutes more. Finally received steaks, I ordered medium, steak was very dry and overcooked, baked potato was extremely dry and burnt, not to mention it looked as if it was a few days old, grilled shrimp was still clear, not pink. Cooked. Overall meals were terrible, but the waiter was awesome, he never stopped moving the entire time, and was very apologetic. We tipped him well, as he deserved it, other employees that walked by were complaining out loud that apparently they had to make their own drinks, one hostess. Seating a young girl dining alone showed her a table, she politely asked if she could have a booth, hostess said. Really they are dirty but if you have to I can clean it, but sit down and I'll get back with you. As the hostess turned to walk away, she murmured, aggravatingly, ugg, people, just sit where I give you. Not acceptable, I get it, your caught with a busy time, short staffed, frustrated, but come on as a customer were paying $50 for lunch, go outside, scream, come in put on a smile, as our waiter did, and most of all, restaurant owner, please prepare a decent meal, not over cooked, and old. You may say, why didn't you say something while there, I didn't think your staff deserved to be aggravated anymore. I think this would be better for the...
