Craftwell & Dunnright — Local services in Farmington

My experience was not good at all. I would not recommend repairs there (which is what steered me there originally). I had a very simple repair to be made on a leather knife sheath and was quoted 10 or 15 dollars. I remind---very siimmmple. The money was not the issue. The material that was used was half as heavy, and not done right either. I explained to the girl exactly how I wanted it done and she said she understood. I even bought a pair of boots while I was there. Next day got call to pick up knife sheath, repair done. I was a bit surprised what a terrible and cheap job she did. I calmly told her that this repair would not hold it was too thin. At which time she said "it was the same thickness, just softer leather". I then asked pleasantly if she could double the material on it to give it more stregth. (I hadn't even mentioned the poor workmanship). She again said it was the same thickness and she knew because she did the repair! As I held it out for her to look at and compare, she stated that if I wanted another piece put on---it would be another 15 dollars. I was not getting anywhere, I asked her to just feel the difference. No luck. I was tempted to not accept it back and let her keep it, but I need it and will go somewhere else for another repair. I will pass the word to my friends and show pictures as well. Good luck to you that go there, I won't. Tempted to return boots!!! That girl...

I must say that I was surprised, pleasantly so, by how awesome my experience was at the store. As soon as I walked in I was greeted very nicely by Chloe (sorry if I misspelled that). I kinda glanced around the store trying to find what I was looking for (Carolinas), when Chloe asked if I was looking for something in particular. I explained what I was looking for and she said she could help. She led me straight to 2 pair that was exactly what I was thinking of. I tried on one pair and they fit great, and met all my needs. I think I was in the store all of 5 minutes. Chloe really was awesome, and didn't try to upsell me on something I didn't need (which really annoys me off). Next time I need something boot related I'm going to come here for sure, and hope Chloe is still around to...

I stopped in here about a month ago close to closing time on 7/23. The lady that waited on me was very courteous, patient, and helpful. I needed a boot that I could stand in for about 6 to 8 hours without my feet hurting afterwords. She encouraged me to try a lot of boots on which enabled me to take my time and truly see what boot would work. I ended up purchasing a pair of the ROCKY pull on steel toe boot. I can say the boot was pricey, but I must admit it is the most comfortable work boot I have ever owned. When I first arrived I was going to purchase a lace up work boot. But since she did not rush me I was able to see how much easier and more comfortable this pull on boot was. I am wearing the boot 7 days a week, it is so comfortable. Thank you!
