This is the BESTEST Mexican food restaurant in Farmington, NM, hands down! Labor Day evening our family of 4 (2 of our adult children have autism) went on an adventure. As the Mom, I was craving Mexican food for dinner. So it was a choice for everyone to go to a restaurant Mom and Dad knew our a new restaurant. The choice was unanimous! A new restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Everyone we talked with were absolutely great., super kind! There was music in the background, mixed with the chatter of other conversations happening in other booths. Now let's talk about the ginormous servings you receive with amazing service! We had the Combo appetizer and the plate must have been about 16 inches in diameter. It gave us each a serving of 3 different foods to choose from. Meaning we all got to try 3 different appetizers. They were incredibly delicious. Seriously!?! Our son got a juicy burger, that we believe he forgot to chew in-between bites. He loved it! Our daughter got 2 enchiladas made her way and she was thrilled how good they were. She REALLY couldn't stop talking about how delicious the taquitos were, they really hit the spot with both of our children. My husband ordered a $24.95 plate and he took more than half of it home for tomorrow's lunch. He was so full. I went for the 3 enchilada special, with beans and rice. I must mention, my husband and I's plates were about 16 inches in diameter, the same size as our appetizer plate. So HUGE! Unfortunately, when we went to order dessert, they make flan it wasn't available, they ran out. My husband and I shared a huge serving of fried ice cream, our son ate one as well, and our daughter wanted the caramel churros. Each were delicious and thrilling to eat. We seriously have NEVER eaten such delicious, amazing Mexican food as we did tonight. Hands-down, the BESTEST Mexican restaurant in 100 miles. I should rethink telling all of Farmington about this incredible family owned restaurant. It might get packed on the nights we want to order out, lol. I promise, you won't regret visiting their establishment. You can tell, they put lots of LOVE in the food they serve. Take a chance, you'll see what I mean. Best! Mexican!...
Read moreWow this restaurant definitely does their best to follow all covid-19 related rules and regulations. They were on top of sanitizing and very adamant about seating regulations. The wait staff was incredible and absolutely on top of their game. We came in as a faamily group of 9. Four adults and 5 kids. We had to have 2 tables apart from one another to follow covid regulations. I dont think our server miss anything as far as alterations or substitutes on our food order and drinks. This is why I'm only giving a 3 instead of what looks like a 5...... I wanted to take the rest of my food home that's why we requested to go containers. I was still eating off of my plate and had yet to box it up. I took my child to the restroom and came back to find out they threw my plate away with the to go container in place of my plate. I had the large combination plate and had only eaten half of my meal. I was very upset especially bc I was the one that requested the containers. Someone had tried to clear my plate prior and I said no, I will be taking this home. I wanted to say something at the time but the rest of my party did not want to deal with it. Of course bc it wasn't their food. Anyhow, right up until the last 10 min we had a wonderful experience. I believe out tab was around $320 and we were there a little...
Read moreI ordered the chicken enchiladas, and side order of Chili rellenos, chips with cheese dip, and sopapillas. Everything looked really good when I got the food, the chicken enchiladas were decent, it would have been better to have a little spice the beans and rice that came with it were good. I tried to eat the chili rellenos but it’s not at all what I expected. A chili rellenos is suppose to be deep fried and stuffed with cheese. It tasted like the outside layer was just very bland egg and there was no cheese inside. It was covered with red chili sauce and cheese but again neither the green or red chili had any spice. I tried the sopapilla but just like the rest of the meal it was bland and tasted like it had been frozen and just placed in the microwave. I ordered chips with cheese dip(which costs $4.50) and I didn’t get any cheese dip just two half filled Ramekins with salsa. The entire meal was underwhelming and a huge disappointment because this restaurant was great several years back. I won’t be spending anymore of my money...
