Panera Bread — Restaurant in Fayetteville

It took me 13 years to step foot into a Panera again. We’re so blessed in this country to have so many other and better choices to give our money to,that I’ve managed to avoid them for 13 years. Now I remember why I don’t like the chain restaurant at all! I was so confused and horrified at the amount I paid and thought it was a mistake, that I was calculating prices the whole time we were eating. The receipt was not itemized so I had to go back and look at each item. We chose 3 orders of the the “pick 2” for 3 people,(3 normal sized people)3 small drinks and paid $56!!! Even with Biden’s America and inflation, that is still excessive compared to ANY other FAST FOOD restaurant in the vicinity. I thought I was choosing the frugal part of the menu!? How much would a human sized meal cost?! I was angry when we got our food and I saw how small the portions were. This is an absolute RIP OFF and is to the point that it feels SCAMMY with Catfish vibes. So the pick 2 you’re supposed to get half a sandwich and a cup of whatever, or half salad. I didn’t even get my half sandwich! Basic 1st grade math would say that’s 1/4th of a sandwich in my pic. Y’all’s math isn’t mathin’! They didn’t ask what side I wanted and gave me a baguette. Hard stale piece of bread. The baguette was bigger than the sandwich. So I guess Panera wants me to fill up on bread and save ingredients to make more money off me? But, I paid a small fortune at a “fast food” restaurant and I expect to get a decent amount of food with quality ingredients. I also expect to actually get what I ordered too. The Mac n cheese is comparable to white Velveeta shells n cheese box, maybe add some heavy cream. Which when I was 13 I loved, but I have graduated to better standards at these prices. This cup was what, $8? The 1/4th of the sandwich was $8?? 30 minutes later my kids and I were snacking because they were still hungry and I had even had an Aloha protein bar right before I walked in myself. Panera should be ashamed. Fast food should be half this price especially for these portions. You can go anywhere else in the vicinity,have a sit down meal with a server and come out the same or cheaper with food left over to take home. Mexico Viejo, Olive Garden, Bear Cafe, etc. Tokyo House is way more worth the money. Gahh I should have gone there. Great sushi. It’s now a joke in our house when my kids grab a snack or are hungry, they say “yanno, cause of Panera”. Go anywhere else. Be a good steward of your hard earned money. The only brightness to this event was the sweet lady cleaning the tables. She was going above and beyond. We got up to get more drinks and she came to clear our plates. I told her that I would do it and not to worry but she insisted. She was the only one there that was really kind, thanked us and told us to enjoy our evening....

Totaly Disgusting , I will not be returning. Apparently there are no standards or Quality Control here at all and no competent managementstaff. I ordered the half soup & half sandwich. Went up to the counter to retrieve my meal. Found a table. Immediately returned the soup which was supposed to be broccoli and cheese soup, however looked like regurgitated food. The soup had been cooked and held at such a high heat that the milk and cheese in it was curdled. You couldn't even see the broccoli as it had cooked down to nothing. Any person even without cooking knowledge could have heated up that bag of frozen soup without causing the consistency to change. This place is good more than it’s bad, however, there are still issues. Multiple times I have been given quiches that look like they’ve been sitting there for hours, which for the prices they charge I think is unfair. I have also ordered through the application only for them to charge me and tell me they don’t have what I want. This may be an issue with the app, or corporate I’m not sure, but don’t charge if you don’t have what I order. I also recently ordered curb side delivery and they had me waiting for 20 minutes only for me to call and then they tell me it was inside getting cold the whole time. If I order curb side, the whole point is for it to be brought to my car, cause if not then I wouldn’t have done it. 7/10 times I go in they hit it on the nail, but sometimes it’s just bad.
