I'm so angry right now. This place failed me like 6x in a row... All in one dinner.
They served me a $16 salad of bagged iceberg mix with hard boiled eggs that were so overcooked they were fully gray on the outside of the yolk, chicken that looked like it came out of a grocery store salad bag (pale, no seasoning, rubbery), and avocado that both had brown strings through it and was so tough it didn't cut with a fork. I tried my butter knife, and ended up with avocado that was cut, but still connected. Like when you didn't cut all the way through your pizza and have to tear the pieces apart. Did I mention that there was about half a red onion in there as well? Diced into like half inch pieces. Is that a thing for some people??
So by this point, I was basically was just down to the bag salad mix. But I was trying to let it go. I asked for extra dressing, and I asked for fried chicken like they had offered with a different salad configuration, thinking it would be cooked differently.
Meanwhile my husband finished his tacos. I put all the revolting stuff from my salad on his empty plate.
The server asked if my husband was done with his plate... Which now held most of my salad, and took it all away. And didn't ask what was going on.
Then she brought me an herbed chicken breast.
I had specifically asked for fried because the original chicken was gross and I figured it would be cooked differently. Oddly enough, it WAS different, DESPITE not being fried...which supports my theory that the original chicken was from a precooked bag.
But I didn't eat the new herbed checked because at this point I was basically crying. I'm never this person who sends everything back, I never want to be, and I don't do well under pressure. I just wanted to leave.
My husband tells her about how each bit of the salad ended up on his plate and why it wasn't acceptable.
So she apologizes... And then BRINGS THE CHECK. With an extra charge for "add chicken".
Not sure what to do, we pay and leave.
We can both struggle in social situations.
After sitting in the car for a few minutes my husband decides to go back in and try to get a refund because I'm so stuck on the unfairness of paying for all that wrong and bad food. And then having to watch it all go to waste.
They tell him they "can't un-run the card". They instead make an order of chicken strips to go.
I'm already upset about all that's been wasted.
AND now I have an entire second meal that I'm to upset to even want to try, so it will probably get wasted as well.
This experience cost is just under $50 plus tip.
Because even when it's a horrible experience we know that nobody is earning a living wage and we're angry about...
Read moreHaving given a rating of 3, hear me out. I have eaten hear many times, steaks(could be better and are at other of there establishments), salads(good), chowder(excellent), salmon(very good), fish and chips(better than most), baby back ribs(usually a little over cooked dry),chicken(over cooked and dry everytime for me),shrimp(pretty good),ahi tuna seared with ginger(wonderful)ahi stack with mango( a little too sweet for my taste). I have taken about 30 people here in the last 3 months. The food is good enough i do recommend it to friends. The service is usually awful. Initially greeted with a warm welcome and very friendly but then once seated a very different experience(only in the evenings). Lunch has always been very nice. The 2 rating comes from the night shift, not all but enough to throw off your evening consistently. Angry, rude at times. Reflection of the owner. He balmes the employees(I have talked to him, heard from employees, 2 of them, that he yells and curses at them). He has yelled at guest and they have walked out. He shouted at me once, I almost walked out. He puts on a good face but if something is the least bit to his liking, watch out. This could be a 5 star place easily. They offer Karoake twice a week but will schedule other venues without letting you know. I have called and asked on 2 occasions what time does Karoake start and was told 9 pm, only to be disappointed once arriving with friends that something else had been scheduled. Was abruptly stopped when trying to go to the singing area by the owner, not in a polite way. I read a review earlier that the singing was not good, well that happens, not everyone can sing. I have been there many times and most evenings there are quite a few good singers. Alot of the better singers that i know don't want to come becouse of the late starts and the extremely slow service. People want to come and have fun. If you only go here once in a while it is an okay place but for a regular you would expect and should receive much more respect. Most of us spend quite a bit of money while out. I was told by one staff member they were quiting and they did. I feel sorry for the staff. I feel sorry for those of us that come out for a nice evening and are treated badly. I know most of these singers and we don't experience these issues...
Read moreMy dining experience with my good friend was overall positive. While some of the food fell short of exceptional, it wasn’t bad—just room for improvement. The standout, however, was our attentive wait staff. Her frequent check-ins and friendly service made lunch much better. We’ll definitely be back.
Next time, perhaps we’ll explore other menu options or provide feedback to enhance the culinary journey. Cheers to more enjoyable meals with friends!
We shared some Mozzarella Sticks and some Killer Cajun Prawns. For my entree I got the Blackened Soutwest Chicken Caesar Salad.
Mozzarella Sticks: The mozzarella sticks were a mixed bag. On the positive side, they were crispy, with generous amounts of gooey cheese. However, there was a downside: they were much smaller than they used to be, and we were looking forward to the ones they used to serve. The marinara sauce was flavorful with chunks of stewed tomatoes. Overall, a tasty treat, but the size left us wanting more!
Killer Cajun Prawns: The “killer” in the name might be a bit of an exaggeration. These Cajun prawns didn’t quite live up to their fiery name. The promised spice was missing, and the sauce leaned more toward a tomato soup base than a bold creamy Cajun flavor.
However, there was a silver lining: the accompanying bread was a winner. Crispy yet soft, with a delightful buttery seasoning grilled on top. If you’re after a mild seafood experience, these prawns might fit the bill. Just don’t expect them to knock your socks off!
For a true Cajun kick, consider exploring other restaurants or recipes that pack more heat. And hey, at least the bread was on point!
Blackened Southwest Chicen Caesar Salad: The Blackened Southwest Chicken Caesar Salad takes the classic Caesar and mixes it up a bit! With its zesty corn salsa, crispy tortilla chips, and creamy Caesar dressing, it’s a delightful departure from the ordinary.
Now, let’s talk about that “blackened” chicken. While it was cooked to perfection, it could use a little more kick. The flavor was on point, but if you’re craving some heat, don’t hesitate to ask for extra seasoning.
Overall, this salad hits the spot, especially with that buttery crunch from the tortilla chips and corn salsa. A tasty choice, and with a minor tweak, it would have been...
