This has had an insane amount of inventory and that’s because it’s all overpriced. Every. Single. Pokemon. Item. In that shop is marked up even $20-$500 over market value. Do not shop here. Do not waste your money. Plenty of other reasonable shops or even eBay to shop at. I’d support a whatnot streamer over these guys. Oh and if you want to TRADE, they will only offer you 70% for trade value (standard is 80-90%). I could not imagine what they’d give for cash value. Probably 35%. Absurdity. Do not support this shop.
Edit: you say you are happy to reevaluate your prices. Wrong. I went in a asked for a re price on a Sabrina’s gym heroes theme deck. The latest sales have been between $450 and $500 and you have it priced at $600. I asked if I could get it for less than your sticker due to the latest sales. The response from you employee was that they need to stick strong to their price since THERES NO ACTIVE EBAY LISTINGS. WOW.
You have so much product because it’s all overpriced and no one actually wants to walk out with anything. And if they do they are unaware of how badly you’re screwing them over
And no you are no among the highest in the state for offering a fair trade value because 70% is highway robbery. Plenty of other stores, Collectors Corner in Bellevue and Seattle and Next Level Games in Everett offer wayyyyyyyyy better trade value.
You guys are scummy and only care about the buyers money. Money money money. You do not value collectors and when the pokemon market finally crashes I hope you lose everything. Go back to sports cards and quit being terrible for our community. We don’t need more people like you in...
Read moreI go to lots of card shops and game stores wherever I go. As someone who enjoys buying / selling / trading cards I can tell you it is an extreme rarity to trade with a card shop and felt like you were treated fairly. Card shops are a business after all and they need to make money. BUT yesterday when I went to West Coast Sports Cards my expectations were pleasantly exceeded. They treated me fairly and completely leveled with me on a trade. I had called several other shops and none would even give me the time of day but these guys were amazing.
Special shout out to Eric for not only being fair and patient with my trade but he also did so with a full shop and while having other customers in line, he didn't treat me like some annoyance like many card game places would have, he took the time to work with me on a deal that both of us felt good about. I also want to shout out to the younger guy who answered the phone, I think his name was Jacob? (not sure) but he was way cool. Especially because I was calling about a super niche and out of print product. I had called many card shops who were dismissive and not helpful, the team at West Coast Sports Cards treated my interest like it mattered even though it was out of print and obscure.
As rule, I try not to EVER trade cards or sell my stuff to stores because I have always felt leaving the deal like I was taken advantage of. I did NOT have that experience here, and I am excited to trade / sell stuff with them in the future if I get the chance.
10/10 customer service. It's worth going out of your way to visit this shop for your...
Read moreI have come here off and on over the years for MtG booster packs, singles and draft tournaments. The game moves a lot faster than I can keep up with and they are always there to patiently explain to me the different types of booster packs offered (set vs draft) and they a deep variety from past sets.
They have a tablet system in place where you can search for and buy singles that’s pretty easy to follow. It tripped me up once and they were Johnny on the spot to sort me out to help me find what I was looking for and successfully place my order. Heck, they were running to the back to start finding my singles before I even finished inputting all my info!
They’ve thankfully been able to grow their space back out and now there’s tables available for players to just come and play with other people with promises of holding tournaments again at some point in the future. It really says a lot about their love for the gaming community that they welcome and encourage people to come to their store and play in a casual commander pod with no sales pressure or feel like you have to buy something to feel like you belong.
It’s convenience that brought me here because I live so close. But it’s their sincerity, engagement and overall welcoming environment that keeps me here. Thank you so much for all that you do for the...
