This tea house isnāt my favorite, but itās convenient and easy to get to. The menu seems more limited than before, and the drinks are hit or missāsometimes theyāre so sweet theyāre undrinkable.
The app is also unreliable; it lets you order and pay for items that arenāt actually available. This has happened to us three timesāonce they called to inform us, but the other two times we didnāt find out until we arrived.
Additionally, they often donāt participate in nationwide Kung Fu Tea promotions and flavors. Overall, it's just mediocre.
They use powdered milk in a lot of their drinks and i can really taste it. Reminds me of grandma's house back in the day. Look for fresh milk options.
Avoid the "pudding" toppingāit looks like a blob of chicken fat. Maybe that's what it's supposed to look like or maybe I just got a bad one but it wasn't visually appealing.
Inside the resturant is often messy with trash laying around. Not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been awaiting the opening of this tea shop since I first saw the sign go up on the building. My daughter introduced me to bubble (boba) tea and now I enjoy discovering its many iterations. We can now try another tea shop and it's offerings. Today was Kung Fu Tea's (headquartered in New York City) soft opening and I was greeted by 10 to 15 employees going through training. The service was friendly and welcoming. I tried a coconut milk tea with regular boba. The price was very competitive with other tea stores in the area. The drink was sweet and had a strong coconut flavor, which I like because I'm a coconut fan, but might be too strong for some. The bobas were a bit softer than other places, but not a turn-off for me. I will definitely return to explore their other drinks and hope their customer service and friendly...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAlright so I still go here pretty regularly, and Iām gonna keep going here pretty regularly, but man I hate this place.
Easily the most complicated menu of any bubble tea place Iāve ever seen. What is all this āslushā nonsense on there. The worst part is these so called āslushesā taste pretty darn good. With their actual tea, a description of what each flavor is like would be nice, even if available on smaller hand out menus if thatād be too much text on the big menu screens.
But the sizes!! If thereās three sizes, why not call the smallest size, I donāt know, SMALL? What is this, starbucks?!
Finally, itās pretty fried that the place is called ākung fu teaā just because itās an asian drink. Unless I suddenly become the karate kid after drinking one, seems a bit non-PC as the...
