Ordered over $250 worth of products on 6 May 2025. Shipped 12 May and on 14 May FedEx ground showed package as: Unable to deliver - Damaged package. Immediately contacted them on 14 May. After multiple attempts at calls and messages they finally answered the phones. Johanna in accounting said that they would have to file a claim. Today is 23 Jun now and I have been trying to resolve the issue by either them sending a replacement or refunding my money. They have done nothing. Called Fedex today as well and was told that the sender has to file a claim and according to them Bavaria Sausage has not done this. Kept calling and calling and finally Joanna answered. She tells me that she called and left message, which is impossible. My answering machine is full and I have caller ID and nothing shows that she or anyone from Bavaria Sausage has tried to call me. Also no email received. When she finally answered, she tells me that she can refund about $128 out of the $250.65 I paid. This is the worse company I have dealt with. Their customer service is absolutely horrendous. It takes persistence in calling over and over to get them to answer their phones. The only number I had luck with is the accounting section. The other extensions just never answer. They have done nothing to help resolve this although I have contacted them many times since I made the order on 6 May 2025. Has been almost two months and have nothing, no products and no refund and then to top it off I get lied to. They do not care for their customers. But the fact is that you are rolling the dice on getting your perishable products in safe condition. I ordered 300 dollars worth of sausage from Bavaria Sausage for an Oktoberfest party. As per instructions on the website, I made sure to order it with 2-day shipping. However, FedEx delivered my shipment late, on the third day. I opened the package within 5 minutes of it being delivered and all the sausages were outside the safe temperature range, and thus not safe to eat. I contacted Bavaria Sausage, and they said they would give me a partial refund on the product itself "as a gesture of goodwill" but would do no more for me because, though I ordered 2-day shipping, apparently FedEx gives itself 3 days to complete delivery, an important fact that is NOT made clear on Bavaria Sausage's website. They claimed that because they DO say on the website that they are not responsible for weather events (apparently my shipment was delayed because of wind), they were not under any obligation to refund my order. However, it is my feeling that if they know that 2-day shipping doesn't actually mean 2-day shipping, and they do not pack their perishable items to last through 3 days, they should make this clear on the website.
