Second time visiting Angry Chicken O Fish. The order was placed online and I went in to pay for it knowing that it would be cooked after you got there. A few people were inside eating and ordering. I got my ticket #96 and was told it would be out shortly. The people that placed orders after me also sat down. The time stamped on my ticket was 1643. I hear ticket 97 then 98??? So I look towards the counter and didn't see and other orders and I know that my number wasn't called because I heard the others. It's now 1710 or 5:10 and still no food so I get up and start to walk towards the counter. A young lady saw me coming and said to the young man that was standing behind the counter he must be 96 because it's on the shelf. Sure enough it was. I sat inside for 30 minutes and my food was sitting getting cold. I told the guy that I was in there for 30 minutes waiting and my number wasn't called. He then said it wasn't that long and I showed him the time on the ticket and told him to look at the time now. He started to apologize but I said that the food is probably getting cold. It was kind of warm and I said that there are too many other places to eat in Florence to have to go through that. If I wouldn't have gone to the counter my food would have still been sitting on that shelf. Needless to say by the time I got home, it was cold. A microwave and oysters don't really work well together for reheating. The food was good the first time but due to the time it took for me to get it the second time it was not. Angry chicken made me angry to say the least.
In response to your response is that's not true. I was sitting in the dining area. He never called #96 and he never asked if I wanted it remade after I said it was probably cold or getting cold. His coworker even told him he never called my number. I have no reason to write a false review on your restaurant because I am not monetized for reviews. I'm simply stating what happened and the young lady that took my order was still at her register so she could see me and knew what number I had if it had been called. Also IF I didn't come up when he called my number BUT called 97 and then 98, seems like he should have recalled 96. He didn't even know that the order was ready. As I said his coworker let him know that he never called my number and didn't know how long I was waiting until I showed him the time the order was placed and the time it was when I brought it to...
Read moreThis is an ok experience, it's ALOT to pay as you pay over $25 for 10 pieces of chicken combo. You can choose between double fries or slaw, the slaw is the tiniest cup i have EVER seen. Their signature seasoning is good but they do tend to get extremely heavy handed, which takes a lot of enjoyment out of the food. There have been at least twice I have gone there and when they open the box, of course you see what's on top, so quite naturally the eyes see the nicer bigger wings, BUT when you get home, you see at least 4-5 of the smallest wings known to man. Each time I have mentioned the issue and her way of compensation was to add ONE extra wing to the order I was making at that time, ONE! It was a small gesture, but ok. I went yet again and the same thing happened, The response seems "canned or prepared " as she talked about the vendor. I asked her if other customers mentioned or complained and she said yes. So my question becomes, if you are aware why even put those extremely in a customers orders. While yes I understand it is not their fault, but it definitely isn't the fault of the customers who are paying A LOT for some times an overcooked and very expensive meal! Most places will take those smaller pieces and give to their employees and not even attempt to put those small biddie wings in the customers order!! The fact that they intentionally place those smaller pieces on bottom simply means it's intentionally, because they have been made aware. How is this fair, I ordered 10 pieces and at least 4 or 5 were that of a biddies, however, her suggestion was ADDING ONE ADDITIONAL WING, the math aint matching. The music is just way way way too loud, you can barely here what they are asking while ordering AND can barely hear your order number. I'm not sure at all why the music is so extremely loud, it doesn't make sense, what is the purpose. The food was good on my first visit but each time after, there has been one thing or another. Last night, I picked up some for my sons, overcooked and way too much seasonings . This chicken is WAY WAY WAY too expensive to continue paying for meals like this. I cant spend this kind of money for meals that they are already...
Read moreWhile visiting Florence recently, I decided to stop and pickup food for myself and the family. I was thrilled to try this spot because it’s a new place and the food looked amazing. I spent well over $100 on various items: flounder, tilapia, shrimp, chicken wings, chicken tenders, chicken gizzards, mushrooms, crab bites, and okra; so this is a holistic review of my experience.
My family and I are extremely fastidious about seafood but we became besotted by the flavors of each and every item. I must say that I was immensely impressed with absolutely everything!!! The food was freshly cooked, seasoned well and the unique takeout boxes were an awe-inspiring creative touch.
Also, kudos to Feeling!!! She took the time to thoughtfully explain every item and made awesome suggestions on others to consider. The level of customer service she displayed was astonishing! Feeling had patience and simply an overall great attitude; although I had an influx of questions and was indecisive about items to purchase. Yes, I know is expected for her to provide this level of service but she went above and beyond to ensure I had a great experience. I truly appreciated it and look forward to returning the next time I’m in Florence! My family, who are locals to the area, has already committed to patronizing Angry Chicken O' Fish.
Job well done!!!...
