Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken — Restaurant in Florence

Had a terrible experience tonight through the drive thru. I WISH I had the women's name but unfortunately do not. The speaker is not very clear and we ordered a 12 pc family meal and when asked our options I thought she was asking spicy or regular chicken and she actually asked bone in or strips. That was totally our mistake.

We are given our food and ask for chipotle ranch and are RUDELY informed that we don't get sauce with bone in chicken it's 17 cents. But I wanted strips and I mentioned this. She tells me that I was asked already what I wanted and it was repeated to me. My husband did say something about the speaker not being clear. Even if I couldn't get the sauce with my meal there are about 29 different ways she could of let us know without being rude.

We decide to go back through the line to get some strips for our children. We didn't ask for a refund or exchange we PAID for more chicken without question because we messed up. When we get back to the front window this lady THROWS and I mean throws our food at us and slams the window in our faces. I added a picture of the chicken after she threw it at us for reference.

My son and I stopped by Wednesday evening after an event at school. The drive thru was wrapped around the building and their were only a few open parking spots in the front and on 1 side of the building. We chose to do a carryout. When entering the lobby, it was fairly crowded, maybe 7 or 8 people placing or waiting on orders and a couple tables were occupied by others who were dining in. It took less than 2 minutes for us to be acknowledged and place our order. This isn't a very big place and it was pretty busy I thought. We had our food within just a couple of minutes of ordering. A few things I want to acknowledge: the communication between the crew seemed smooth from kitchen to DT to front counter. For them to run so smoothly, it is a direct reflection of how this place is being run, so kudos to whoever was managing this team. Also, the place seemed pretty clean from the quick glances I took around. Lee's isn't a place I order from often, but when I want it, I want it. We've lived close by for almost 13 years and we order a few times a year. I don't think we have ever had a problem, but our experience was exceptional this last Wednesday....

Although the food was okay to say the least, I would give this location a 4 star mainly due to the drive thru employees as they were Awesome! Very friendly and energetic!

We ordered the 12 piece Breast Strip Meal which came with 3 sides, 6 biscuits and sauce! We also ordered 2 additional spicy recipe chicken wings which were below average.

The Breast Chicken Strips were very crispy and the flavor of the chicken was good but there were a few pieces that were a bit questionable in regards to what it actually was…chicken or something else.

The Macaroni and cheese was very plain and lacked flavor which is normal for many fast food restaurants today. The Green beans were okay and so were the baked beans. The biscuits were hard as well as they were not fresh.

Personally, the drive thru was extremely quick which tells me that the food was not fresh but simply sitting under a heating lamp so my only cons would be towards the food as it was not the freshest but it was edible for around $35. Also, it was drive thru only as the...
