I really like the Matcha Frappuccinos as they are consistent, don't tone down the matcha flavor, and they actually have the tap Nitro Cold Brew that my boyfriend enjoys at this location in Florence (we only have two to choose between in our city and the other does not have the tap and has been out of matcha for days now).
However, I cannot give it a better rating as I NEVER know when this location is open or not. The hours are never the same as listed online, they close early at all different hours (seemingly on a whim), and have even removed a phone number from the Google listing so you HAVE to physically drive to the location to either (1) see if they're open or (2) get the number to call and find out that particular day's hours. I gave this location an extra star because IF you can place an order, they seem to do a good and consistent job. It is frustrating, though, to want a drink on a double star day only to get off work and find out at the drive thru that they closed five minutes prior to you arriving and they were the only Starbucks within an hour drive that had matcha flavoring.
On top of the inconsistent hours, I placed an online order today so the wait in the drive thru wouldn't be so bad. The drive thru was surprisingly short and after updating my card to pay, I had only had my order in for about a minute or two before the car in front of me finished ordering. The lady told me that since my order was placed less than a minute ago they would try and have it ready (one drink and a couple pastries) butsince mobile orders give 5-10 minute estimates that if it wasn't ready, I would need to pull around and go through the line again. I don't understand what was different from me placing the same exact order online or at the box. The time to pick up happened to be the exact time I got to the window but they said they were just now pulling my food out (the pastries were warmed) and to go ahead and pull to the front. I ended up just going in anyway even though I really didn't feel like getting out in the heat to just stand there staring at my drink sitting on the mobile order counter without the rest of the order and waited for the rest to be placed with it only to watch someone move the drink back to the window counter... This was just as inconvenient of a trip as driving over just to find they're closed. Why not just state that Online Orders cannot be picked up via Drive Thru if that's...
Read moreThe quality at this Starbucks is awful now. I always order a mocha cookie crumble Frappuccino with extra whip on the bottom. It’s the same drink I’ve ordered for years. My last few orders the whipped creme has been at the top and the drink (as well as the whipped creme) has been melted by the time I pick it up at the drive thru window. If all of the whipped creme is on top, it’s no longer a mocha cookie crumble Frappuccino. It’s a cheaper drink… a Java chip Frappuccino. When I pointed out to the girl at the window yesterday that I ordered my drink with extra whip on bottom, she just said “well I guess it floated to the top by now”. “By now”???? How long had she made this “frozen drink” before serving it? These drinks are too expensive to serve as melted, incorrect cheaper “messes”to your customers. If it’s melted or the whipped creme has floated to the top, then here’s a thought: Make the drink AGAIN, CORRECTLY. Take some pride in your work instead of charging your customers for incompetent barista’s mistakes. I’m not sure what has happened here but the current baristas are clearly not trained correctly.
