Tried Taziki's for the first time today. Before I go any further, let me confess that I am not a big fan of Greek cuisine by nature; love me some Italian, but not Greek. I gave them a shot anyway. Here's my experience....
Taziki's menu is pretty much dominated by gyros, but I went with their Chicken Kebob Feast with a side of Taziki dip. Went through the drive-thru; let me say this, when you get your order, tie the bag handles snugly. The plastic containers are very slick and not only slid around, but one actually popped open and I narrowly avoided having my feast go all over my passenger seat. I made it home, and proceeded with my chowdown.
The Taziki Dip is twelve baked pita crisps with a cup of dip that resembles Greek slaw. The crisps were bland and I didn't like the seasoning in the dip. Simply personal taste; I didn't like it. So I moved on to the Chicken Kebob Feast, which consisted of two 3-piece skewers of chicken breast meat, probably about six ounces total, plus a salad, another pita crisp, and a cup of white rice. The salad had iceberg and leaf lettuce, sliced tomatoes, red olives, pepperoncini, and came with Greek dressing. The salad was far better than the Dip, liked the red olives. The white rice was seasoned with the same spice used in the Dip; it wasn't bad at all, it kept the white rice from being bland. The chicken was okay but the portion was skimpy, just my humble opinion.
I've had better, I've had worse. Like I said at the top.....I'm not big on Greek food. This order did nothing to convert me. If you like Greek, you might really enjoy Taziki's. And I probably will give them another shot and try one of their gyros. I know I won't get the Chicken Kebobs or...
Read moreI tried to use a discount for an email I received. The manager said it was not applicable even though it said “Florence” in the heading. The drive-thru line had 3 cars in front of me and they told me to wait to take my order. The line cleared completely and I waited with no one saying anything. I finally said hello and the worker sounded agitated. I showed the worker the email at the window but by this time I needed to pick up my daughter and did not press the issue. I waited for quite sometime for someone to even take my payment at the window. I finally got my food and realized my tea was missing. Ironically, this was the item that was supposed to be free with the purchase of my salad. I pulled around and went in to get the tea I paid for that was supposed to be free. The inside was empty so I am not quite sure what the problem was. The drive-thru states it takes 7 minutes to prepare your food. I was there for 20 minutes. I pulled in at 8:00 and left at 8:20. This was the worst experience I have had at...
Read moreFood was great, but I ate inside and had to bear witness to back practices. It said the manager on duty was Preston. I'm assuming the heavy set long dark haired woman was her by the way the other workers didnt say anything to what she was doing and she was the only one without her hair tied up near the food. Well as she talked on her cell phone by the food assembly counter she had a spoon in the other hand and was tasting food that was in the serving tubs on the counter. She then got off her cell phone wiped her nose twice with her hand stepped further left to another food tub and that tub must have had something hot because not only did she blow on the spoon of food she had, but proceeds to eat the food over the tub of food. This was 12/26 between 6:15-6:30pm. Even if there are no customers in line for remember some of us watch what food service places do when they think your not looking. Shame on you Preston that is not good leadership and I will not eat there again. Best practices are the...
