Miami Food Review 😋😋

We decided to go have an early dinner. The place is located in a warehouse like area. We arrived about 4:30. No wait! The inside is bigger than expected. Natural sunlight comes thru windows up near the ceiling. You could sit at the counter or at a table. There was one table finishing up and then we were the only ones there for a little while. They had specials on the board but we also looked over the menu. Alot of different meals to choose from, it was hard to decide. We went with fried cheese sticks, a bowl of split pea soup (I crushed up the crackers and threw them in), steak w/mashed potatoes with gravy, zucchini + squash, and seafood pasta. The meals came with salad. The cheese sticks were hot and crunchy and there was plenty of dipping sauce. The mashed potatoes were very tasty and the consistency was great. The salad tasted very fresh as did the potatoes. The seafood pasta came out nice and hot in a garlic butter sauce. The waitress Victoria was very soft spoken but she was attentive. We could taste the freshness in the food. The prices were fair. We didn't have to wait long for the food. Most of the entrees come with 2 sides. They do serve breakfast all day, but can run out of grits or home fries so get there early- they open @ 5:30 am. We enjoyed our food. The things that we would have liked better was if: 1. the steak was cooked medium rare as ordered (it was more like medium well) 2. the salad had croutons 3. the pasta came with garlic toast and 4. the soup was hot. There's nothing better than hot soup but the split pea was luke warm. We were too full for dessert but they had some nice desserts listed on their menu. We'd definitely would recommend this restaurant and we look forward to coming back again and saving some room for dessert next time!

I've been coming here for a good time now but it just seems there's an issue every time. I'm not one to leave bad reviews etc but this i have to do, it gets to a point where you get tired of the same problem. Maybe it's our luck and we get the "bad cook" who doesn't care but this last visit was the cherry on top. Party of 5 including the elderly woman I take care of. Service is always okay not the best but the food this past visit was NOT okay. My daughter ordered the chicken parmesan. When she got her plate she was having trouble cutting through the chicken... Well we turned it over and it was COMPLETELY burnt! BLACK! How do you send out food like that? The 2 girls apologized. The first girl said sorry and said she would talk to her boss cause she is "new". She went and told the other girl and that girl said sorry too and offered a 10% off the bill. She didn't even take the meal off the bill. She explained she gave a discount but couldn't take the meal off the bill cause my daughter ate the sides it came with. Disappointment to the fullest! They need someone cooking who knows what they're doing not a kid or lazy ass who doesn't give a flip! Don't think we'll be going back anytime soon and sucks because the food is good (when the right person is cooking).

I hate this place. I will no longer bring my family or recommend anyone here. They have roaches here very badly first off, secondly you can see into the kitchen from the first two tables and oh my god the cooks do not use gloves and they're dipping chicken and fish in the same egg wash, not to mention the container it was in was so nasty around the rim like its been there all day without being changed. They have open seafood wrapping on their prep table and also cooked food right beside it. Theirs some kind of liquid dripping off the table onto a bag of potatoes which are wide open BTW I noticed an older woman maybe 60-70 years of age who is a server also walk by us with raid roach spray or ant spray and started spraying right where the prep table is literally she sprayed the box of tomatoes without even taking them out first. I'm assuming she was trying to spray the wall of cooler. I've mentioned to the owner how the flies are overwhelming there and he just gives me a false response saying they can't help it. Wow buddy!! Cooks do not wash their hands there it's open container with food in they're coolers seriously. My wife food some kind of black mildew in her soda and she asked a server named Susan about it and Susan replied they have not changed the soda filter in a week or two. Theirs a cook the named Jeremy who walks to the bar alot and sits and he doesn't show any sincerity for his work. The plates arrive at your table not cleaned around edges. They have red ants that come from god knows where. You can see them on floor in dining area. Service is very slow and boring they do not sell alcohol. Summer was the best person there. She was very joyful and caring for us as guest even though she was swamped with tables she treated us very nicely. There is not hot girls or attractive ones present at all. They have a two old lady's who scares my son whenever we go there because of their looks no offense. I've found shrimp shells in my plate and egg shells in my omelette. The owner doesn't respect his business or the craft. All of this I've noticed in a three time occasion. I'm a health inspector and I have to make people aware of this place please if you value your health and your kids do not take them here. No-one is experience enough in customer service. I heard the own yell at one of his line cooks because he did something but the way the cook was talked down on is unreal....

The food and service is not worth your money here paid 16.95 for steak breakfast the young waitressing, nice and polite, but she seems to not know the place too well maybe she was new. I don’t know. All I know is told the owner that the steak was the only good thing I had somehow instead of paying for water and a steak breakfast I ended up paying $24 and change and $.70 of that was them charge me to use my debit card in his establishment. There was very few people there so no wonder you have people coming for 33 years. You would think that the owner of an establishment would have more respect for even a new customer. If he has 33 years then why make a new customer not want to come there ever again and it was so Bad of experience I actually wrote a review and re-edited because I was a little upset by spending my hard earned money when I could’ve went to Publix and made my breakfast way better than that and a lot cheaper At home We all eat out because we wanna have a nice experience. Best advice I can say is go somewhere else like Cracker Barrel. The owner doesn’t understand good food keeps happy also, I was never giving a real receipt never even got a receipt that I asked for when I left the Bill was chicken scratch written on the paper when we asked to separate it we were handed a piece of paper with handwriting on it people...
