Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen — Restaurant in Florida

I never complain but i have never been more disappointed. First i order to go, 2 steaks $23 each. I pay for what I want. So i thought ! I asked for sauteed onions that i pay extra for and the pic below is what i got. So i showed the girls and they said they will oder more and wont charge me. Lol. I said , maam, i already paid for it. So i then wait literally 20 minutes and she looks like she didnt even want to give it to me and her response was , this is what the cooks gave me and then handed to me and apologized. Here is a rule of thumb. If it doesnt look presentable , dont send it out. And that cup of onions was supposed to be for2 steaks lol. Thats an insult. Then i went and spoke to the manager. His name was shawn. He did try and make it right and he did give me a Full cup of sauteed onions and for the inconvenience , he gave me $30 in gift certificates. I was happy with just the onions but i thanked him. Then i get home , open the food and noticed the corn was mixed in with rice pilaf. That would of been fine if i ordered rice but i didnt. I feel like it looked like i got scraps and they put it in my to go box. I called the restaurant and spoke with the managaer again. I am one that i dont ask for my money back. Im not like that. They made the money But they lost a customer if they even value losing one. I told him i want to return the certificates as i dont think i would want to eat there after this. I said he should go back in the kitchen and 86 the corn because it does not look good to send it out with rice chunks. i asked Iyanna if i get bread with it. She said only one-piece. I said can i have 2 and she said i would have to pay for the one more piece. Again , i pay for what i want. I said yes , i want another piece of bread. So thats what i enjoyed tonight folks. My bread and my to go painkiller. Lol. And thats a wrap folks. I give shawn credit though for being professional and he really tried to make it...

well let me say start off by saying I eat at a lot of restaurants and I do a lot of reviews ..I ride motorcycle and we eat to ride and ride to eat...I have never given any restaurant a 5-star rating and this will be the first one...I decided I wanted to try somewhere new and I saw the Cheddar's ad advertise online...they claim to be American cuisine and let me tell you they are I ordered a full rack of the baby back ribs and they were absolutely phenomenal they were by far some of the best baby back ribs I ever had their barbecue sauce is absolutely delicious their french fries were cooked perfectly their macaroni and cheese was phenomenal my friends had the loaded baked potato which was absolutely phenomenal and well presented....our waiter Keith was very very professional our food came fast or drink glasses were never empty he repeatedly check on us to make sure everything was okay...but he didn't do it when he was annoying he did in a very professional manner...we also ordered the cheese curds which they give you such a large plate full of cheese curd that were cooked perfectly not overcooked the breading was nice and crunchy but yet not over crunchy they weren't soggy at all the salad was very well done it wasn't just a pile of lettuce with some carrots and it it was well proportioned with romaine lettuce regular lettuce and a good mixture of cheeses and other items....the restaurant was very clean everything was presented very well and the service was Tip-Top by far one of the best restaurants I've been in in the last probably 2 years.... They were very busy yet our food came very promptly and we did not have to wait at all for a table all the staff was very professional...I can't say nothing more than what I've already said to say how good this place really is it is a great place for a couple to go out to eat or even to take your family I gave them two big thumbs up and I will definitely be back there to eat...

Hmm... I have a review from eating there and one for them not seating our big party on a different date. So it was hard to decide stars for the service. I'll start with us eating there. Everything was good. We haven't found a really good chicken fried steak in Florida. This one was the best so far. Served with cream gravy that's not sweet. On the other date in March of 2023, my son-in-law called 2 days before his wife's birthday to ask about making a reservation for about 15 people at 6 pm on a Thursday. He was told they don't really take reservations but they would write down the info and let the manager know. We arrived at 6 and they were not too busy. We were told it would be 2-2 2/2 hour wait before they would seat us!! We all asked why. The 2 hostesses said they don't have room. I asked is this a normal wait time. The answer was no, just for us. We asked if we could be sat at different tables near each other. They again told us no! We went outside complaining to discuss where to go instead. My son-in-law went back in to speak to Dave, the manager, about this. Dave wasn't any help. When asked why we couldn't even sit at different tables but in the same area, Dave said he didn't know we were willing to do that. Sooo... if you have a big party don't pick here. They could care less if you're there. Half of our group have been servers in the past and they couldn't believe they didn't want our business. We ended up calling Texas Roadhouse just diagonally across the street. They welcomed us with open arms and had us seated at 3 tables back to back within 20 minutes. So the 4 stars for service is mainly for us eating there...
