The man behind the counter was extremely rude to a sweet elderly lady who only asked for coffee. I was behind her in line. She was alone, smiling and asked how the man’s day was going, he ignored her. There were no other customers in line. She seemed confused by his rudeness, then simply asked the price of coffee. He said $20. I know that was a lie. He treated her badly and should’ve been fired as it now seems he was stealing from people. She doubled checked and said really $20? As if she heard wrong. She asked what sizes they have. He said one. At that point I intervened and asked to see a menu with prices. He said there wasn’t a menu. I asked how much a bagel is. He said they aren’t serving any food.. and proceeded to take the senior lady’s $20 bill, and handed her plain coffee. She took his word for it and believed him. She even thanked him. There was a Starbucks nearby but the line was long, and I’m sure she didn’t want to stand in that line. Neither did I. So we get there to order a quick lunch before our flight, she starts taking our order at the first register and then I need a second to read the menu so we let the person behind us order. When that person finishes ordering, I'm ready but she is at second register. I tell her, I'm ready to order and she just points at the register where she's standing and stare at us. Like we were her kids or we were begging for some free food. Completely unprofessional. I order a salad which comes with a sauce that I don't like, we ask them for some ceasar sauce. They say it's in the bag, we show them there's no Ceasars sauce in the bag, and then they say they don't have ceasar sauce. During the whole interaction their demeanor made it so obvious that they didn't want to work. So I ended up not really eating my salad even though I wanted to. We pay double the price because we at the airport, I'm not complaining about that, but with those prices the least we can get is a service...
Read moreAbsolute disaster. I understand being short staffed but the insane disorganization of the staff was disastrous. Waited for over 30 minutes in line to being told they weren't serving more breakfast or taking orders until they caught up, which mind you they never did catch up. I witnessed a customer almost miss his flight, never get his food and refused a refund. He told staff to give his bagels to the other customers in line and they refused to do so. The employees then proceeded to shut off the menu screen and pretty much told customers they could only pay for items in the fridge. All of this while someone, who I assume was the manager, was in the backroom while making a somewhat lackluster appearance but not once intervened or helped speed the process up.
