My family goes to Siesta Key every couple of years and have always loved this market. However, this visit things were noticeably different. We were worried we had to pay for parking as there is a parking attendant now. We almost didn’t go, but decided to stop and ask and was told to go ahead and to park by the market. No other cars were there so we had the market to ourselves. The first thing we noticed was a change in the deli. They used to have the best egg salad, pimento cheese, and chicken salad. The woman tried to tell us of their great sandwiches but things just didn’t look as good as they did last time we were there in 2021 and the deli workers were not the ones we knew from our previous visits. Loved that we knew the people there from coming so many times in the past. However, we live in an ever changing world and this is to be expected. The presentation of the items in the deli case were just okay. The pimento cheese did look good so we got that and it was as good as we remembered. We found a decent selection of crackers but felt they were very pricey. We settled on some bagel chips and they were delicious. The grapes we purchased ended up not being very flavorful and actually went bad quickly so we ended up throwing those out. There was a nice selection of cheeses but at high prices. They no longer had some of our favorites so we got just a few things and left. The cashier asked if we found everything ok and when we told her the things we were missing she said “sorry I don’t think we carry those things any longer.” We found out the market is under new ownership which explains the changes. The market was clean and people were friendly but this is not the market it once was. We only bought a few things and ended up going over the bridge to another market with more selection, better prices and fresher produce. We’ve already made reservations to come back next year but a visit to this market will not be part...
Read moreIt was my first time visiting Crescent Beach Market yesterday. The store owners, and cashier on duty were very polite and helpful in showing me where I can access the items I needed. The store itself is tidy, well kept, and organized. There was plenty of parking that did not require payment to park, and the store is conveniently located right off the South bridge of Siesta Key, and across the street from the very Beautiful Crescent Beach. The pricing was very reasonable; I didn’t feel at all like I paid for convenience. Leaving, I realized how much effort must have gone into quality and the way they treat people in there. Which is hard to find nowadays. Exceptional experience -...
Read moreThe employees were very friendly. The beer and wine selection was great. However, I was offended that I was not allowed to use the locked restroom. When I asked for the door code I was told that they are not for "public" use, which I fully understand, to which I responded "I'm a paying customer, thats not public use", and was denied regardless. With that I purchased the one thing I needed and chose to not spend any further money. Paying customers don't like being treated like street trash and discretion could be used to allow paying customers to use the facilities, without allowing just anyone off the street (or beach) to use them....
