Overall, excellent food, great service, casual rustic ambient .....excellent place for family, crowd and gathering.
The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor dining. Outdoor provides daily music entertainment.
The restaurant offers their daily fresh catch-hogfish, wahoo, grouper, tripletail, snapper, cobia, and other ocean catch of the day.
We ordered conch fritter. $15 for five small conch fried fritters. Mostly dough and unfortunately extremely salty. We could not eat them and told our server about the taste. They offered to make us a new batch, but we declined. At least they offered. Thank you for the customer service. I recommend dedicated that they do a test batch before making so much in bulk.
We also ordered seafood stew. Absolutely delish with so much shrimp, calamari, fish, and tomato based. It was very well seasoned. And the two slices of toasted bread were out if this would. Amazing buttered aioli flavor. Awesome sauce!
For our entrees, we ordered the grilled tripletail fish with salad and a taco entree with blackened grouper. The grilled triplefish was outrageously delish and fresh. Excellent amount of seasoning sincevgge gush is so fresh. The salad is a mixture of greens with canned mandarin oranges, pickled beets, and crumbled blue cheese. The salad dressing did not pair quite right with the salad. It was too acidic, possibly too much vinegar mixed with other ingredients, which gave it a mustard yellow color. Absolutely too pucker! It tasted ok with the fish just like you would....squeezing lemon on fish to give it a bit of the citrus taste. But, it's not good for the salad at all!
Only one negative comment. I ordered glass of white wine. They served it on a clear round plastic cup. Not unacceptable. The reason why wine is served on "glass" not plastic wine glass is to maintain the chill. Touching the cup everytime you drink warm up the wine faster. Trust me, the wine was quickly unchill as I drank it! Wine on plastic cup is unacceptable!
Definitely recommend this place to first timers and seasoned visitors. Please give me a thumbs up if youbapprecisyevthe...
Read moreWe traveled to Siesta Key last week and went to this restaurant twice because we had such a good experience. In the whirlwind of getting ready to leave and coming home, I didn’t get a chance to leave a review. My experience was so positive that I am making sure I put in a good word. We went here the first night we spent in the area. Brielle greeted us kindly and sat us outside after asking our preference. She also served us on that Tuesday night and took the time to make sure we understood what fish were available that evening. She graciously described the texture and taste of each fish to us. There was a guitar player who was singing in the corner of the patio. I believe they have someone there singing almost every night of the week around this time of the year. My significant other and I really enjoyed both of our dishes. We started with the sushi nachos and then I enjoyed one of the grilled catches of the day. I remember making my decision with great care, but I can’t recall which fish I enjoyed. I just know that it was grilled and delicious. As we were getting ready to leave, Brielle recommended that we visit later in the week because there is a portable grilling/smoking station that shows up on Thursday and Friday. (It may also come other days, but we told her we were leaving on Saturday morning). She recommended the bacon wrapped scallops and we kept that in mind throughout the week. We came back on our last night, which was a Friday. We got to see Brielle and she sat us on the patio with a very kind server whose name unfortunately escapes me. We got to try the bacon wrapped scallops, and I’ve been thinking about them constantly since. Our meal was once again excellent and we really enjoyed sitting outside with the music on...
Read moreFood: 5/5 outstanding and unique.
We tried the conch fritters, blackened grouper, fried tripeltail, french fries, coleslaw, and roasted root vegetables. Everything was incredibly good. Best coleslaw I’ve ever had, my girlfriend doesn’t normally even like coleslaw and was trying to steal mine. Only nitpicks with the food would be that I’d like more conch in the fritters, and for my beer to have been colder, but those are small gripes that didn’t detract from the experience in any major way.
Service: 5/5 courteous, attentive, quick, no major complaints
The service was perfectly adequate. Not necessarily outstanding, but there were no major blunders and they were always around when I needed them. I’m not a snob for service anyhow, as long as they’re not openly rude and pay even the slightest bit of attention I’m happy.
Atmosphere: 5/5 right on the water next to a marina
The decor was nice albeit fairly sparse. But this was made up for by being right next to a working marina. We got to watch a guy with a huge forklift move around boats, and got to take a little walk around and gaze at the mangroves and water after we ate. It was really nice. Bathrooms were really clean too. No off-putting sounds, sights or smells. Very pleasant to hang out and grab a bite there
In total we had two entrees with fresh caught fish, side of conch fritters and two alcoholic beverages. The total cost with 20% tip was approximately $130. For a delicious meal with unique freshly caught fish cooked to perfection, alongside killer sides and some good drinks I’d say it was well worth it. Can’t wait...
